I have NO idea why she is bringing one horse with a 6-week layoff to Freehold for a $3,300 purse when she mostly races in Monticello and Saratoga. I can think of a few scenarios. A bet? A foot in the door? Trying to sell this horse? Maybe the horse is already sold?
For those who don't know who she is, for all intents and purposes -- she is Rene Allard. Maybe its a back door attempt for Allard to get into the Meadowlands. The old end run.
And if you have been paying attention, Allard horses now race at Freehold under the Surick name. And Surick has a horse in the same race as Basilone. An Allard entry?
I think Harness Racing would be a good feature for a daytime soap opera. As The Sulky Turns.
We shall watch and observe.
