McDavid vs Matthews
The last time these teams played Nazem Kadri did a number on McDavid- hounded him all night.
We'll see if McDavid lets that happen again or if he learned something the first time.

Don’t you mean McDavid vs Marner? These two have a long history against each other.
Nylander is in Babcock’s doghouse these days after pulling himself out of the lineup before Saturday’s game, Babs was real happy about that. He’s been skating on the fourth line at practise ever since, and it looks like Soshnikov has taken his spot on the Mathew’s line.
I saw this last season on the Marlies, Nylander plays the game when he feels like it, and spends his time playing on the outside waiting for an outlet pass, and that just doesn’t cut it in the NHL. He doesn’t engage the puck battles and gets cold feet when he’s about to get lit up.
The difference between Marner and Nylander is that Marner will take a hit to make a play, and has an unequal drivetrain to go along with his elite skillset. Magic Mitch is leading all rookies in multiple point games, and needs one more to pass Vincent Damphousse on the all time Leaf list. Both Marner and McDavid have been going at it since the age of 9, with Marner coming up short most of the time, i expect a motivated Marner tonight.
It’s good to see Mathews driving the net these days, both him and Nylander were shooting from the outside and that won’t help your production at all.
Looking forward to the game tonight.
