It would be nice if they also had a mutuel pool.

I'm so sorry. I thought you meant "the horses handle the track" not they

I agree to a certain extent BUT (I just got home now after a 16 hour day and checked results) they do have a $4150 Pick 5 carryover for Sunday, thanks to my stupidity.
I hit 4/5, used 6 horses in the race I lost. I knew it was wide open but only went 6 deep when I should've went 8-9 deep (12 horse field) in the race I lost.
So, thanks to yours truly's dumb decision, there will be $10,000 plus in new money to Sunday's pick 5.
I hate it when life gets in the way of pool scoping !!!
I bet small as I bet 3 hours in advance and couldn't see if there was a bias/track trends etc.
I don't normally ever bet that way but today, I knew I would be so busy that I couldn't even take a few minutes to watch early race replays and then wager. I bet when I could, with a small bet, so I didn't miss the opportunity at a small pool scope.
Arrrgghh...
But, the positive is, I have a pool to attack on Sunday!

She makes my blood boil.
She should not have a jockey's license, that's how weak she is.
The horse's head moves back and forth but her hands barely move!
She looks like she's in a : Which jock can stand motionless for the longest competition. Problem is, SHE NEVER STARTS moving a body part. Except for the gallop out.
If she is on a horse, it must be a stalker/closer who sucks up and needs no encouragement from a jock (a horse that can run on his/her own).
The positive is: you'll rarely if ever see a horse get rank under her and.....
Sorry, still looking for the next positive.

In the late 70s, PM usually was my first foray back into the game after a seasonal layoff. Sloppy tracks were the norm. But the facility was decent ... way better than YM.
EP was the prettiest bullring in the game, then.

Did PM have that annoying POLE that ruins the TV shot from the 1/4 back then as well?

That's a detail that I can't remember. I used to watch the race live from the apron. The reruns, sure, but come up blank now.
The indoor paddock was must because of the season that they ran in.

conveniently the pole doesn't block the announcer. But when QH's are in the chute those trees get in the way!

Also, here's a mini tour I did from PM but this was before both remodels so most stuff inside has changed.

$25,980 in the PICK 5 pool today!!!
$4,150 carryover goes a long way to helping that but nice pool for this small time track.
