Sorry you guys lost on an absolutely obvious winner and when one starts a thread I figure they are looking for input.
Sorry I bothered.

What input did you give exactly? If it's what I think it is...wow...thanks
And everyone is sorry around here lately...

I have no clue what your last post means. I make very benign comment was that when a horse moves from Lakeman to another trainer it can improve and somehow you and CJ jump all over me ass. Also not sure what the im sorry comment means.
Calm down boys......

It's VERY hard to claim off Michelle Nevin and improve the horse. His other winner was claimed off Rudy Rod. Also not easy to improve off of. But this lifetime 4% trainer has done it at Saratoga no less.
Impressive

I didn't think either of the two most recent winners improved all that much. They seemed to be in pretty good shape when Arriaga got them.
For those thinking something is up, Mike's finding I'd certainly interesting (nice find Mike). Also a clue could be the ownership group- The Players Group- which has been hitting at a 30% clip with limited starters over the past few years. I couldn't find much else about them other than what I could find on Equibase.

Whenever a habitually low percentage trainer wins 3 in a row (especially at a meet like Saratoga) it's not likely to be a coincidence. At least, I wouldn't approach it that way. Yes, there may be reasons for these 3 wins, but there were probably winnable situations in the previous 100+ without success.
I commend Da Hoss for finding this, posting it and offering his opinion. It's worth monitoring.
Final thought: It's not cynical horse players who try to turn every accomplishment into something nefarious. It's the painfully weak policing of this game that gives horse players zero confidence that anything is legit. I don't blame anyone for questioning anything that looks too good to be true.

I'd be curious to see if Mastic has improved figure wise since the claim. Maybe someone can post the figs, I'd do it but I'm not home

seems like a couple obvious factors
we have a potentially newfound aptitude
and we have an interesting social network among the trainers in at least 2 out of the 3 cases
dahoss noticed an interesting glitch in the matrix
nothing wrong with appreciating that

You are a weird bunch for sure. Not sure what drives some of these responses other than there is a clique of those who circle each other for protection against whatever posts you perceive are against any one of you.
Next time dahoss ill kiss your ass for making a comment that any of us can read in the racing form about a trainer that never wins winning three in a row. I tried to add a nugget of info as a fellow poster. My understanding is that is the way boards work. Then you come across in post 7 like a fool and antagonist.
Then you have your posse of cj and pa jumping in and busting my balls. I don't study the way the cliques works on this board but I certainly got it handed to me today from you, CJ and PA for simply adding a comment to your original post which some may have appreciated as a potential reason Arriaga won a couple of races. WTF is with you guys.

In three starts for the Nevin barn, Mastic earned brisnet figures of 83, 85, and 69. With Lakeman, she ran an 89 and an 80.
Those figures put her in the mix with the top contenders, and she was 9/2 on the morning line. She didn't exactly come out of nowhere.

At the end of your post, you say you're sorry you bothered...Dahoss said a similar thing at the end of one of his posts earlier in this thread....this my "sorry comment."
I thought it was pretty self-explanatory.
