2 weeks Pack was on Byk ....Told Byk he loves Andy and Gaby but after awhile he mutes them...which doesnt make sense. He then went on the say Mig sounds like hes auditioning for a mount.."every Mott horse looks ready and fit""They all look good"."i dont need anyone telling me that"
Pack continued..He said someone tried the same stuff on his show long ago and he wouldnt allowed it..

This has to be a record for most reappearances on a message board, huh?
Guess PA needs to update his software. Shouldn't be this easy for retreads to keep signing up

I watch Nyra races in Spanish really like the Announcer, its auto muted pre-race ,
I don't like the graphics on the screen , But I like the MIG and Maggie and tlg, but don't listen to the pre race show, just wish they would provide a cleaner screen(less or no Graphics)

I think Mig does have some good insights, however; I do get tired of
hearing about every trainer doing a great job of preparing their horses.
If they are training horse at this level they should do nothing but
a good job. The Mig should stick to viewing horses--a few weeks back
he stated the Dylan Davis is among the top jocks in New York........
that is just sick.

Well, to be fair how many horses running at Belmont or Saratoga don't look good........and almost every trainer there is "top of the line". They would do better telling people which horses don't look right. Maggie does more of that then anyone else. But there's probably zero chance. Then the Mig would be quickly muted for doing so.

I look at this form the opposite direction. I view Mig's presentation as selective in that the horses he chooses to talk about are the ones he considers to be in good order.
So if he discusses two out a a ten horse field, then he has eliminated the other eight.
Why would he or anyone else talk about ones he or they DON'T like?
To do the opposite would be illogical.

at age 90, Pack can invoke "senior citizen privileges" and say just about anything he wants, and get away with it.....LOL

No, I did not. If it is, I hope you two don't fight like cats and dogs. You both have your merits.

I like when riders comment about potential race strategy and also appreciate comments about how the horses look (as long as it's coming from someone that has some expertise in that area and that has been taking notes on the horses all along). Those are areas where I might be willing to defer to someone else's opinion since I was never a rider and don't get to see all the horses every time they run. I far prefer that over handicapping opinions.

I would also welcome any pre-race comments by the trainers...about any subtle "changes" in the horses' condition from race to race. Alas...the trainers seem to prefer remaining tight-lipped about such things.

Hoping Maggie doesn't leave us permanently after the baby arrives. She's a real jewel.
I like the Mig, it has to be hard to come up with any new comments when you're talking about the horses during the post parade. All thoroughbreds , especially of the caliber that run at Saratoga "look fantastic".
