Mohaymen King's Bishop

Kiaran McLaughlin is usually money with two turn horses going back to one turn. Will there be any cause though?

Why take a short price on Mohaymen at this point?

He's gotta break cleanly. The way Mohaymen has been getting out of the gate is even more concerning in a race like this. People seem to think these horses win on talent alone but they are very evenly matched. Without focus and discipline he will always be an under achiever. Maybe he can turn things around cutting back but I would not bet on that at a short price and there are so many people that just bet this horse because his name is Mohaymen and they are on the band wagon win or lose and he loses most of them. There will be some other "toughies" in there to boot, ones that like winning.

I've heard of 2 of those. Not a strong division that I can tell.

Fish Trappe Road has run 2 fast races in a row. Should be tough again.

Star Hill will turn in a strong race too, perhaps for 2nd.

This race seems to have become Saratoga’s version of the “BC dirt mile.” A bailout race for colts who don’t want to compete with the big boys in the Travers. Mr. Z last year, Hard Spun in the year he avoided Street Sense. Mohaymen this year. I can’t see why he couldn’t get the distance, he won at 9 panels. Perhaps Kiran knows better.

I can only see him winning if there is a total melt down like the one Tom's Ready took advantage of in the Woody Stephens at Belmont. BTW where is Tom's Ready in the probables?

Weird statement given Hard Spun went against the big boys in the Classic. He also beat Street Sense in the very next race.

I'm thinking it had more to do with the $25m bonus they got in the stud contract. HS was probably best at a mile but he ran ok at every distance.

Anyone out the have the numbers of Kiaran cutting a two turn horse back to one turn? I believe his numbers are pretty good.

Plus Tom's Ready. That's 3 pretty strong entries right there.

No, it's Grade 1 Sprint that has huge potential stallion value. Calling it a "bailout race" is sheer ignorance, of both the stature of the race and the breeding industry ( among other things ).
