I'm watching and thinking "wtf, horses break poorly every day."

Then I see the stretch run. The horse starts to make a move on its own, on the far outside, and Castanon appears to be repeating to himself "I will not be in the tri, I will not be in the tri".

Definitely warrants a vacation for (fill in the blank) days.

Check out the comment at the bottom of the article: the guy couldn't understand why the ride was deemed suspicious?

If I were in charge, 5 year ban, 1st offense. No ability to earn a nickel in the racing industry. Anyone caught employing him illegally, 5 year ban.

Of course, if he's truly guilty and proven guilty.....

Every circuit needs some damn leadership. With stern leadership, stuff like this would never happen.

Anytime I see a jock break like that (ass in the chair is what I call it), I immediately think somethings up....

Anytime I see a horse's torso and head being pulled inward and upward, those hands are stiffing.

That was disgustingly obvious.

I don't need a jury for this one, fry and ban his ass.

I want to book every single bet of Jon Shonk from now until eternity.

I could use a comfortable lifestyle.

Whatever you believe his real intentions are, replay makes it look like an easy explanation for Castanon to give, manufactured or real:

Horse breaks a beat slow, the 1 stumbles & ducks out so there's the 2 lengths at the start. His horse then seems to resent the kickback & is getting out into the turn, stays wide the whole way because of this. In the stretch the horse is in the midst of a mild rally, makes an awkward move on the lead change, bears out again when being corrected & that's why the snatch at the end, which really just seemed to cost 4th place.

If this jock has a clean record & there's no suspicious betting pattern, is the above explanation the hardest thing in the world to believe really happened?

I don't follow his rides that often, anyone from the circuit want to weigh in - this ride makes him look like he's got anti-Ramon hands, hear a lot about having soft hands as a good jock, so do we say he's got hard hands? Secondly is his style usually a hard pump & flailing whip or can he get a horse to move without so much activity? Stretch drive was not exactly a masterclass in effort looks-wise, but wouldn't be the first time a jock was halfhearted on a cheap claimer who might not be feeling great under him. Castanon's only other 2 mounts on the card that day were last & then a DNF, so this was actually his most successful ride of the day.

I assume everyone on here now has Tizthedream on their stable mail & will be loading up next time she runs?
