I was thinking about joining this User's Group to contribute my knowledge and wisdom---but if this is the sort of discussion I can expect--forget it!

The Group will be for people serious about fine tuning Handifast. The frivolity here is fine, but will want serious discussions in the group. It will be a private group by invitation only. Only because EXPECT TO ACCOMPLISH SOME GOOD STUFF and want to support people who really use the program.

I know most or are aware of most users, so won't be hard to join. Just not open to the public.

I'm doing something similar to HandiFast, ie "weighted factors", and of course would be interested in the group, any serious user group that involves discussing the weighting of factors. Personally, for improvement of the weightings, I feel that the ability to dump the pre-race settings into a list/database is the very best way to learn the relative importance of different factors (yeah, I'm sure there are better ways of doing it, but those are reserved for much more technically proficient minds than most of us possess). What I am doing will have that ability (batch processing many races and results files and pasting the pre-race and post-race data to a list/database sheet for further analysis).

My question, have you any plans for such a capability for HandiFast?

To answer your question Ray, I am in fact working on a batch processor at present. I have several irons in the fire, one not the least of, is getting ready for my first grandchild due on my birthday, 3rd of July.

If and when I get it done, it will allow user to load to a limited database. I say limited, because I have to write the language, or the query system for the database. Not sure I am smart enough to make it work...

But will try. So we shall see. I am right now trying to get a couple bugs fixed and adding an analyst view/change feature. That's turning out to be the hard part....right now, but I'm sure I will get it done. Then I'll release version 9.1

Looks like we will have a user group. I have to speak with PA first.
