Adobe Flash Player Hacker Warning
I read an article yesterday regarding a discovered fault with Adobe Flash player which can allow hackers access to your computer.
If your version is 20.0.0.306 or lower, you can be susceptible to hackers. The link provided will let you know your machine's version and if it one as noted previously, you should download a newer version.

I removed Flash and disabled it's extensions more than a year ago. I have barely noticed any difference in my browsing experience since.

I thought Adobe Flash was the common app for viewing videos i.e., YouTube and videos in article links etc.
Since you've removed Adobe Flash, how do you view videos using MS OS?

Most of the web is HTML5 now.
I didn't do anything they suggest here to resolve problems viewing videos because with rare exception, they have played fine. Netflix and YouTube are definetly no issue. On occasion, video's other posters have linked here won't play but it's rare.

I agree that removing flash is a smart security move. It seems that every two weeks there is another zero day discovered.
At a minimum, disable it from running and have it prompt you. That way, you can specify when you want it to run.

I have is disconnected and the only problem I have is I cannot watch videos on PA, but if I go to You Tube directly, I can.

New vulnerability.
I see Adobe is having to issue another emergency patch for yet another zero day vulnerability.
If you are still running this program and updating constantly, let me be the one to tell you the web still exists without it.
I have a friend who was in marketing at Macromedia before Adobe acquired them. Even he doesn't allow the program on his devices anymore.
There was time you needed it. But the problems definetly outweigh the benefits at this point.

I used the link to uninstall Flash player from Firefox. It was fine until I went to Twinspires and can't watch the races at all without it. But Twinspires website itself no longer freezes since I did the uninstall of Flash player on Firefox.
On Chrome the same same flashplayer does NOT freeze on Twinspires and lets me watch the races.
I never knew until your link that this flash player was separate for each browser. (I thought it was just on your computer or not on the computer) I will only use Chrome to watch the races since flash has the possibility of being exploited.

I don't understand it. Flash player works with no problems at all on Google Chrome, but no matter what I do it crashes on Firefox. I have tried refreshing firefox. Nothing helps. I can't watch horse races without Flash at Twinspires. I can't even listen to MLB audio without flash as crazy as that sounds. I subscribed and it would not allow me to get any audio without flash.

I have issues with Firefox crashing on a lot of stuff other browsers seem to do okay with. I like the speed of Firefox, perhaps that's part of the problem.
