MY DAY FRIDAY

Playing in a live money tournament on Sunday at Keeneland.

Did my film work on Friday.

Here it is for the Sunday 10/11/15 card.

Maybe it can help a bit if you're playing Keeneland that day.....

Race 1

SAMMIE'S TOUCH--- Very tentative when forced to stay inside. Much more comfortable when allowed to swing out. Don't see her coming through at the rail in this spot. Looked a little "cheap" through lane.

MAKOO--- Ratty looking butterball. Couldn't even tell which lead she was on. Can't imagine her hanging in with these ladies.

CHELLA--- Just a bit high headed. Raced like such a pro as if oblivious there were others in the race. May have waited on rivals just a bit. Got feeling if she needed to do more she could have.

SHE'SABREES--- Watched prior two because last was vs males. Aggressively ridden early in both races or she would have fallen well out of it. Willing to run anywhere on track. Tight spots no problem. Race two back was fantastic. Really leveled out nicely last 1/8.

RULELIKECLEOPATRA--- Absolutely crushed field going 5/8's. Rivals didn't seem like much. Drifted in just as she swapped leads when straightened away. Very nice but didn't level out quite like the last two.

RUM THERAPY--- PP will probably look better than race did. Very one paced throughout. Very brief try leaving 1/8th pole then shut it down just as quickly. Nothing on gallop out either.

Race 2

LADY GAMELTON--- Ran MUCH better than a 28 length drubbing would suggest. Sent like a QH off a 5 month break. Looked smooth and sound down the back side. Was challenged and passed leaving the backside. Would think she'd be toast right then. Battled inside and turned away that horse. Meanwhile now winner is blowing by on way to 16 length win. Actually put two on the rest of the field into stretch then finally said F- this and back out. Loved her race.

TUCAPITA--- Made lead without being asked at all. Put up zero fight when confronted on far turn. Court flailing away on a horse that was obviously finished. Pretty choppy late. Not close to as good as PP might look.

MYSTRA--- Major plodder. VERY one paced. Went back to dirt race to see if yielding turf might have been culprit. Nope. Same there. Runs high headed and it gets higher late. Guess it's possible but would be better suited if they were going around twice.

LADY ANN--- Saved every inch of ground. Jock started pushing midway on turn. Never quickened. Nothing to like.

FILM IDOL--- Ran awful. Didn't look real sound.

RARE MEDAL--- Ran good. Made lead only because she was drawn inside. Battled pretty gamely. Still had chance with 50 yards to run. Pretty good for inside, grass, long at Saratoga. That trip doesn't produce many winners.

Race 3

GENERAL IKE--- Bad race in Feb. Meaningless.

ESCAPE ARTIST--- Hard to run any worse. Only horse of six that did nothing. Three of them slugged it out. Stuck around. Two closers rolled late. Then this guy did nothing. Not striding out at all. Poor.

CERRO--- Ran his heart out in the same race as ESCAPE ARTIST. Heat early very game late. Nice.

BELVIN--- Either horse or jockey, perhaps both, were terrified between horses entire first quarter mile. Shuffled all the way back to last. Angled to middle of the track. Sustained run for final 3/8ths. Finished pretty well from impossible position. Not too bad.

ETON BLUE--- Absolutely no excuse. Perfect trip. Looked like he was gonna win or get big piece turning for home. Just a guess but got feel he either couldn't breathe or bled.

TARPY'S SURPRISE--- DRF troubled line is crap. Was not bothered in the least at 3/16ths. Loosed reigned early, into far turn. Rider did nothing when he started to back up. Seemed he was well aware horse hated slop. Would not hold this race against him at all.

SERENDIP--- Race too far back to matter.

Race 4

M FORTY FOUR--- Broke very well. Could have cruised to lead. Taken back by Fallon. Who new? Saved every inch of ground. In slightly tight leaving backstretch. Fallon's butt bouncing off horses back. Quickened nicely but only briefly, move stopped as fast as it started. Threw in towel in lane. Definitely didn't want to be ridden that way.

CHERRY WINE--- Ran pretty darn well. Very green early. Shuffled himself back from between horses. Despised dirt in his face and no intention of going inside anybody. Rallied very wide and had to check off erratic horse to go even wider. Level out nicely for a few strides and got momentum going until rider overwhelmed him. Jock looked like a ballistic clown. This guy is OK.

BLUEGRASS TIGER--- This horse can run some. Each time I see Kieron Fallon he's more pathetic than the time before. Totally in this horses mouth at the break with his butt bouncing off the saddle. Rushed like a madman to be close up. Was actually head and head for the lead turning for home. Then got very tired. Positive rider switch to Sophie Doyle. Who knew?

PADDYRYAN--- Off half beat slow. Rushed between to go head and head. Mixed messages made him a bit rank. Settled into far turn. No real fight when real running began. Just a horse.

COTTON TOWN--- Little bit green early. No big deal. Was willing to run inside. Unfortunately he wasn't running very fast. Not hopeless. Probably will need tag to break maiden.

TIGER PAW--- Broke very well. Definitely doesn't want to be a sprinter. Backed up early even while being pushed. Made a decent middle move to good position turning for home. Raced evenly from there. Not great. Not bad. Should improve.

SEA OF ERIN--- Very slow early, perhaps why he's getting blinkers. Very impatient ride. Moved way too early. Made eye catching move around far turn. Flattened out pretty bad in the stretch but never stopped trying. Is going to be pretty nice.

SAN DIMAS--- Not a pretty mover. Saved all the ground getting pretty much a perfect trip. DRF trip note says altered course. I see what they saw but it wasn't much. He just wasn't handy enough to maintain spot. Slowly gathered momentum and almost got up. Doesn't really quicken as much as grind. Will really like longer.

GAULTIER--- Obviously can run. Seems pretty sprinty. Kent pretty much let him do whatever he wanted. Got very tired. Tough read.

SUMMER SPICE--- Have no idea if he can run. It'll be a long time before he sees dirt again. Duckin & divin in the kickback. No Clue.

HUNTER O'RILEY--- Came out of gate fine. Many will say he broke bad. Not the case. He just had absolutely no speed. Started long rally from 3/8ths. Was VERY wide turning for home. Didn't need to be that far out at all. Leveled out very nicely. Catching top two with every stride. Can only imagine him doing everything better this time.

DELICATE BALANCE--- Hated slop. Awful action. Only hope is grass. Inclined to think he'd rather eat it than run on it.

Race 5

ROYAL ALLUVIAL--- Broke on top and could easily have made lead. Hard held to take back early. Went after lead without being asked at all. Was not impressed when jock turned him loose at 3/16ths. Trying to lug in all way to wire. Last 100 yrds just ok at best.

HAVE FAITH SISTER--- Pulls pretty hard. Doesn't like being taken hold of. Workman like win. Is what she is.

WONDERFUL MISS BEA--- Horrible action. Perfect trip. Moved forward for about 50 yards and was finished. Sound?

GIVEMETHREESTEPSMR--- Field was pathetic. She was worse. Nothing.

AKASHA--- Never showed anything positive. Further she went. Worse it got. Sound?

EARL'S GIRL--- Perfect trip. Looked around just slightly after making front. Went on about her business. Nothing special.

SUGAR CUBE--- Not horrible. Quick turn of foot into/around far turn. Every chance down lane. Wasn't crazy about the mud.

EM ROCZ--- Big time plodder. Never showed a thing. Was running very slowly through stretch.

KERISMA--- Same race as HAVE FAITH SISTER. Got great set up. Looked like she couldn't lose at 1/4 pole. Grinded closer but was never going to catch. Lost ground on the gallop out.

ADONICA--- Looks like and outdoor freezer with legs. No rally.

JACKSONCOUNTYFLASH--- Ran well. Very wide far turn. Passed em all and continued on with good energy through wire. Very solid effort.

MISS REDITORRE--- Used to be here in So. Cal. Don't know what she beat and there was only four of them. But dam sure didn't look like a 5k claimer. Finished strongly.

Race 6

PAPA SOUL--- Unsettled in gate. Green switching his leads leaving backstretch. Not much after. Not hopeless.

MOON GATE WARRIOR--- Tiny little thing. Showed decent speed. Kept trying. Limited.

SILVERTOWN--- Didn't seem to like being inside around far turn. Then cowboyed up in much tighter quarters through stretch. Really nice effort.

RANGER MAX--- Looked like was going to get a big peace turning for home. Lugged in pretty badly length of stretch. Didn't look like greenness as much as a problem.

BATTLE TAP--- Broke very well. Slightly intimidated inside but no more than a typical FTS. Looked like he was gonna do something at top of stretch. Fell apart. Has turned out to be very live race.

TIZ A CURVE--- Was very wide. But didn't show much.

RIDING IN THE WIND--- Slow into stride. Solid move to make lead turning for home. Was completely lost when in front by himself. Didn't offer much fight. Seemed like very weak field.

CONGRATS GIVEN--- Didn't run badly. Green between horses early. Decent middle move. Came home evenly if not a bit spotty. Nothing great.

SYNCHRONY--- Almost exactly like CONGRATS GIVEN. Looked like mirror image in same race.

Race 7

STREET CHIEF--- Solid race. Nothing fancy. Like he kept doing his best after being blown away by winner. Good work ethic.

MISTER MAESTRO--- Film looks just like PP. Took heat. Easily best. Suspect field. Scrambly action.

A STEP AHEAD--- Perfect trip. No fight at all down lane. Blah.

MISSION DRIVEN--- Very good effort. Ran his heart out. Doesn't seem like miler even though he's won twice at that distance. Can't fault.

HEART HILLS ROAD--- Last all the way. Just ran around the track. Not much else to say.

WINTERS GIFT--- Very nice high cruising speed. Jock only let out notches to repel challenges. Wasn't really asked for his best down lane. Looked good but did turn away Chunnel who's badly off form and sore now. Liked his race quite a bit.

APOSTLE PAUL--- Looked like a guy in street shoes trying walk across an ice rink. Hated the footing and course at Kentucky Downs. Don't hold that race against him.

THUNDER MOON--- Couldn't possibly have had a better trip. Took zero advantage of it. PP will look waaay better than movie did.

PEP THE CHAMP--- Dullest race I'm seen from him in quite a while. Was never even a mild threat. Over the top?

FAIR ADVANTAGE--- Darn hard to look comfortable on that wacky Kentucky Downs course but he did. Took his cues masterfully and scored a nice gritty win. Liked his race a lot.

WHOOPIE PIE--- Ran pretty darn good for a horse that clearly was not thrilled with the footing. Really tried hard until frustration got the best of him. Was still only about a length behind with 100 yards to run. Not bad at all.

REALITY--- Broke very well. No real excuses. Top three dominated. He was best of rest. Very vanilla.

QUIMET--- Very quick for a turf router. Put up zero fight when passed at 1/4 pole. Very choppy and short striding late.

MARVELOUS SKY--- Hated being restrained early. More jock pulled back. More he pulled forward. Not exactly a recipe for an effective turf horse. Rider finally let loose around far turn. Ran in spots rest of way. Did best very late and galloped out nicely. Someday gonna be pretty nice.

STARSHIP ZEUS--- Ran well but not nearly as good as PP's might suggest. Got golden setup with 5 mixing it up in very fast fractions. Margin of victory total illusion as others were gasping. He just finished steadily. Ok. But far from great.

SCIMITAR--- Decided to look at his race two back on turf at Ellis. Creepy crawly fractions. Kept galloping along. Far from a thriller.

Race 8

KING OF NEW YORK--- Saw no reason to look at Travers. Watched Curlin. Was awful. They went very fast on the lead. He was well back. Made a slightly menacing middle move. Was dead even with the winner at the top of the stretch who proceeded to blow his doors off.

SEAL SIX--- Unless he hated the synthetic he's not close to good enough to beat these. Nothing.

WAR POINT--- Away since last November. What's the (War) point?

JOY BOY--- Looked like he was going to get a big piece at Parx. Then nothing. Remember him from out here. Really needs things his way.

HAZARDS OF LOVE--- Old warrior ran great. Really kept at it even when it looked hopeless. Never got a breather. Very solid.

EAGLE--- Very average. Zero speed. Had to make up some ground given how fast they went early. Can't see him winning a route off that sprint prep.

JACK TRIPP--- Made lead with no send at all. Horse gunned up inside his to make pace pretty quick. Acted like that horse wasn't even there. Beautiful cruising speed. Was headed at mid stretch but never looked like he wasn't going to win. Very nice.

ZAMBIAN DREAM--- Broke awkwardly and inward. Made lead because some one had to. Galloped along on lead with token pressure. Actually looked a little better into the stretch because the race was so long. Did nothing when the real running began. If you're looking at PP's and expect him to make the front or be close. I wouldn't count on it.

Race 9

NICKY'S BROWN MISS--- Very mixed signals. Broke fine. Shuffled herself back into far turn. Rail opened a bit and she advanced without being asked. Looked like would get a big piece. Then starting swapping her leads back and forth. But. Still finished third. Another very hard to quantify because of Kentucky Downs.

SKYWARN--- Not very handy. Takes a while to engage when jock asks her to quicken. Did make a decent middle move. Flattened out badly though. Looked quite tired late.

NO FIGHTING--- Have to give her credit for finding the wire first. Perfect trip but not exactly a breathtaking stretch run. Is what she is.

QUEEN OF SCAT--- Obviously ran very well in a 200k stakes. However. I think if the race wasn't a marathon distance she would have got nothing. Looked like a filly that would love two miles. No turn of speed despite being asked. Just grind, grind, grind. We'll see.

LOOM--- Just the opposite of QUEEN OF SCAT from the same race. Exhausted last 1/4 mile. Liked her mile race two back at same meet much better.

QUEENIE'S SONG--- Very nice filly. Did everything like a total professional. Quickened immediately when asked at 1/4 pole. Did her very best down the lane. Will win many races in her career. Nice.

NANCY RIDE--- Bobbled just after the break. Cost her a couple. Very relaxed to far turn. Got great set up. Dream run though. Battled and was coming back on winner at wire. Looks like might be difficult to ride. Race was just ok. No great shakes.

SUNSET KNOLL--- Didn't exactly take my breath away. But still very nice win. Sharp break. Very workmanlike staying in front when challenges came. Kept going same speed in stretch and blew away from inferior horses. Not like she ran away from them. But still pretty good.

KITETA--- Checked fairly sharply when a horse ducked in front of her at top of stretch. Hadn't really done anything to that point and didn't do anything after either. Didn't see much.

PLAY THE BREAK--- Ugly action but can really run. Got very good set up but took full advantage. Rider had very tough time getting her to switch leads. Can never be a top filly with that way of going. But sure kicked their tookus in this race.

MY JOLIE--- Very bad camera work at Delaware. What I could see was a steady rally off a decent set up. Pretty one paced to grind into 2nd. Not exactly a rush. I think.

PURIM'S DANAWA--- She's either very brave or really stupid. Was taking advantage of a great set up. Rolling up inside. Hole disappeared but she didn't flinch and went through anyway. Seemed pretty lost when she made the lead. Either that or she's just not that good. Got to give her a lot of credit though. Oh broke slow too. Could be a champion or a 10k claimer in a year. Who knows?

CASH IN MY POCKET--- Never really did anything. Just kinda ran around there. And not very rapidly.

LEGEND OF THE KITTEN--- Pretty obvious why they ran her 1 1/8 miles first time out. Needed every bit of the distance. Not exactly push button. No quick turn of foot at all. But got the job done. Gonna be tough on her in her career. She's always going to have to circle very wide. If she get's stopped at any point don't forsee a re-rally.

MARY MAHONEYS GIRL--- Ran pretty good. Looks totally like a sprinter but looked her best in closing strides. Not sure if she beat much. I'd like to own her. Keeneland? Doubts.

SPANGLED BANNER--- Should have won. Nightmare trip. Can't really fault the ride. Just a very tough go. Loved the slop.

No idea if you can cap Vic, but you are being held responsible for the coffee sprayed amongst the keys...

Ratty looking butterball.

Field was pathetic. She was worse.

Looks like an[d] outdoor freezer with legs.

Looked like a guy in street shoes trying walk across an ice rink.

She's either very brave or really stupid.

I know this horse well, he kept running in off the turf races as the only real 'dirt' horse, and got beat by horses he should have never lost to, he's almost 9 now, a bit long in the tooth, I didnt do any tape work on the race, but I'd try and beat that horse at short odds. I think he looks much better and faster on paper than he is in real life. If the track is wet I'd upgrade him, but he lost some races when he was in career form to turf horses incl one field of 4.

Would rather eat the grass than run on it. HAHA.
