Just got an email from Keeneland stating all contestants are required to wear a coat and tie!

Deal Breaker? OMG!

Kurt imo one of the best race announcers in the country.

How many contestants in to tournament?

I totally agree. He's a superb announcer and a totally perfect fit for what Keeneland is looking for in a race caller.

In addition he's really a great guy. Looking forward to seeing him again. Last time our paths crossed was the 2009 Breeders Cup at Santa Anita.

Site of Queenie's greatest triumph and one of Trevor's greatest calls.

Frankly though I think the highlight of the day was Dancing In Silks winning the BC Sprint.

Not sure if there's a cap on the number of entries. I'll check it out.

Anybody have a coat and tie I can rent.

54 long. 19-38 neck.

I visited Keeneland a number of years ago when they were still synthetic.

What a nice track.......beautiful views, nice attractive grandstand and toteboard, and nice looking crowd sights to boot. The only negative is that it was a little cool (visited during October meet), but no doubt it is going to vary year-to-year.

I plan to go back someday in the not-too-distant future! Handicapping should be significantly more successful too, as I was not very good with polytrack.

Only a few spots in the joint where coat and tie is required, so sounds like the contest might be in the Lex or KY rooms? You'll feel right at home up there by the roof, Vic. Best of luck...

I always say the only time I will wear a suit and tie is at weddings or funerals never at the race track....

I wanted to play in the contest also Vic but I will be at the fall classic in Vegas ( same weekend for some reason )

Tanner I will be there Friday and Saturday also. Section N reserved seats, if you want to stop by pm me.

Also anyone that is in the area please take the time to stop by Old Friends, the tour is probably awesome ( always just go see our old horse Jugde and our friend Michael comes out to meet us )

Every donation small or large goes a long way for what they do at the farm. If you don't believe me I invite you to go take a look for yourself.

The way the wind whips through the apron and lower grandstand, Keeneland might be the coldest place on earth. I've seen it snow on opening day of the Spring Meet. Rare, but it happens.
