HandicapperPlus Desktop Now Imports QuickHorse DRF Export Files

Handicapper Plus now imports QuickHorse DRF file exports.

Please note this product is not officially endorsed by QuickHorse. If there are any errors or issues, please contact me directly for assistance so I have the chance to correct any problems.

This is *absolutely cutting edge*, especially since QuickHorse has not officially introduced their product yet. QuickHorse's plan to eventually implement Sha Tin and Happy Valley is, quite literally, the HOTTEST and ONLY game in town, in my humble opinion. I wish it had been my product, but it wasn't, so I want to do whatever I can to support this superb and soon-to-come edition to our racing world. QuickHorse may eventually ask me to take this down, but for now, we wanted to include a working import utility.

I think we can all appreciate the level of implementation that QuickHorse is ultimately aiming for, and my hope is that our application will be able to reflect the quality and type of data you've come to trust from QuickHorse through our imports of their superb export product.

There will be bumps along the road, but thanks to QuickHorse, at least now someone is building a road! I know HandicapperPlus users support their effort.

I've rolled the Live Brisnet Feed into the application for the Windows Desktop edition, as well.

Good luck. PM or email me with your thoughts.

Thanks, all.

Tony

In order to try to keep up with Tony and HandicapperPlus, we've gone ahead and released QuickHorse 15.1.2f a few minutes ago and I wanted to post here as quickly as I could.

Users can now used the EDIT menu bar item, select EXPORT from there and two new export choices are available. Just to be clear on its use at the present time, when you get to the point of selecting either "TO DRF" or "TO XRD", you've already displayed a race program, and its that program that will then be exported to a DRF or XRD file. We're working on scripting commands to allow users who want to do a lot of this export, but for now, in order to test what we have with either HandicapperPlus or your own homebrews, you can do so. The DRF or XRD files created will reside in the c:\jaihorse\drffiles folder so that you can do with those what you please.

To download the update users can use the FILE menu bar and Latest Update feature or find us online by using the link PA provides on our web badge to the left of this post.

Thanks to Tony for doing the initial testing to make sure our data was importable at least to one program. I hope others will follow suit.

Mike and QuickHorse are still in the testing phase, and like I should have made clearer above is that they haven't gotten the full product released yet, so, when there are bugs that crop up I'll end up making adjustments to the import routines in HandicapperPlus. This is BETA here, folks.

If you're like me, you're absolutely salivating for QuickHorse's exciting new product, so, I must have inadvertently posted that in my sleep!

They have the past data for Hong Kong on their servers.

I don't mind testing this way. Being able to extend the use of their data beyond their software gives their already substantial offering very interesting possibilities.

Our full product and the update only version of QuickHorse have been updated to include the rudimentary export feature for both DRF and XRD files which is part of the FILE - EXPORT selection on the Menu.

We'll work on a feature to select multiple dates so you can go get a cup of coffee while QuickHorse creates numerous DRF/XRD files.

All QuickHorse users should be getting a popup alerting them to the new revision when they do a data download.
