RACE 2 -- MSW 70K – 1M DIRT
1 WAKE THE DAWN 6-1
3 TREASURING 7-5
6 SHAKTI 4-1
7 JADE PRINCESS 3-1

1 WAKE THE DAWN
Didn’t get away all the well in her 1st start. She ran evenly towards the back for most of the race. Bred to go long. Dam was 2nd by a nose in the G1 SA Oaks. Stidham is 23% with sprints to routes in 2nd start in a MSW. Keeps Bejarano. Expect a lot more.

3 TREASURING
Obvious player with Baffert/Garcia second timer. She is very well-bred and should like the added ground. She was on the inside in the debut and steadied as they were going into the far turn. She ran on well to get her nose down for 3rd. Excellent work tab here.

RACE 1---CLM 16K – 1M DIRT

3 SIENA GRACE 6-1
4 KEEZHEEKONI 5-2
6 MORE STORMYWEATHER 3-1
1 NAZARETH 4-1

3 SIENA GRACE
When you look at the fractions the others in here have been involved in, this one might be on the lead. She was only a length off of a 45.3 in last and that puts her in the early mix. Class drop to a suitable level. 7th in last (beaten 14) was 3rd at 9-1 in next start.

4 KEEZHEEKONI
Can look past the turf in last as she is 0 for 6 on the grass in her career. The race prior was at this level and she set or pressed the pace and finished 2nd by a neck, that also with Bejarano up. Should be pressing here again. Might be a merry-go-round situation.

RACE 1 -- OPT CLM 40K – 1M 1/8 TURF
1 SWEET AS A ROSE 3-1
4 HALLJOY 5-2
5 KADESHA 4-1
2 CAUSEWAY CAROLYN 4-1

1 SWEET AS A ROSE
Really liked her chances in her most recent start but she proceeded to toss the rider. She was coming into that off of a career best effort. Show runner in the race two back returned to win in 88k allw and then was 2nd in 150k Solana Beach at 9-2. She comes in w/ 2 sharp works. Saves ground here.

4 HALLJOY
She didn’t have the best of trips in her most recent start. She was the fav at 5-2 but was steadied and lost some momentum. She is making just her 3rd start of the year and second off a break. Bejarano stays which is a good sign. She has a win on this grass and one of the best turf riders aboard her.

RACE 3 TORREY PINES 100K – 1M DIRT
1 STELLAR WIND 6-5
4 RATTATAPTAP 3-1
2 BIG BOOK 5-2
6 ULTIMATE HOLIDAY 10-1

1 STELLAR WIND
Looks like a free square on bingo card here. She has only 2 losses and they came after slow breaks and she flew on late in each. 2nd in last came back to win easily in opt clm 40k next. Grade 1 winner been working well for some time.

4 RATTATAPTAP
Couldn’t handle the top choice in the only meeting they had but this one is a different runner now for a new trainer. She closed well to get beat only 3 in the G1 DMR Oaks in her last start. Came back with a nice work. She will be moving late.

RACE 1 MDN CLM 10K – 1M DIRT

3 ALEXITA 7-2 Talamo
7 TRIPLE VANILLA 6-1 Desormeaux
4 FAST MAGOO 3-1 Perez
1 CADET RONI 4-1 Prat

3 ALEXITA
Shipped in from Parx and dropped in class for Miller. She exits a decent race for the level. 4th was Siena Grace, a comeback winner at 7-1 facing 25k claiming company. Miller almost 20% when blinkers on. Bullet work at SLR.

7 TRIPLE VANILLA
She was knocked down to the 2-1 favorite in her debut. She seemed to be traveling well enough but was bumped in early stretch, couldn’t catch the winner, who’s in here. Blinkers on. Facing winners. Likely is better than we saw.

RACE 1 OPT CLM 50k

6 SOONER TIME 5-2
4 AIMING STRAIGHT 3-1
1 MARQUEE CAT 5-1
2 DRAGON FLOWER 7-2

6 SOONER TIME
Debut was superb when she broke a bit slow, rushed up and took control in an easy effort. Last was so poor, it is hard to be believed. She gets a big rider upgrade and a bullet work. Expecting to see debut effort here.

4 AIMING STRAIGHT
Maiden win at LRC was sharp. She was coming in off an 18-1 2nd place finish at SA, the first with blinkers. Broke poorly in the CTBA and never got involved. Bred to sprint. 2 nice works since last. Will be up on lead.

RACE 1 MDN CLM 50K - 5.5F DIRT

3 ATLANTIC SLEW 7-2
5 BRIANA JEAN 5-2
4 AMONG THE ANGELS 8-1
8 TRINITYS TURN 20-1

3 ATLANTIC SLEW
MSW to maiden claiming drop for a trainer who wins 22% on this move. Puype has won with 3 of his last 5 starters, two with Baze up. Decent worktab, outworking older. Winner in last won a 100k stakes next out.

5 BRIANA JEAN
Been in the money in 3 straight at a 50k maiden claiming level. She has been a beaten fav in 2 of her last 3 and will likely go off favored again. Winner three back won at opt clm 50k next. Should be used in exotics.

RACE 1 MSW 70K - 1M TURF

3 OSCEOLA POND 7-2
2 MESA SKY 9-2
7 SCATASTROPHE 5-1
5 TEQUILA JOE 6-1

3 OSCEOLA POND
Exited a key MSW at BEL in 1st start. The winner won the G3 Sanford at Saratoga in his next start (but was DQ’d). He broke from the 10 post in his first local start and ran well. All kinds of turf in the blood. Winner 2nd in a MSW at BEL in debut. Will be tough here.

2 MESA SKY
Ran pretty well as fav in the debut at LRC. The 2nd place finisher has since come back to run 2nd in two high mdn claiming races in a row. Has a decent pedigree for the turf and comes in with a very nice workout tab. The trainer up for the training title here.

RACE 1 MSW 70K - 6.5F DIRT

4 AUDRA 3-1
3 SEND ME A SIGN 8-1
1 MY SILVER CAT 9-2
10 EVERLOVIN WOM 6-1

4 AUDRA
Bet down to 7-2 from a 6-1 ML in her debut. She started slow and was steadied pretty badly early in the race. She cruised up in the middle and then went tired due to the early trouble. Working strongly for her return. D’Amato 20% with 2nd timers.

3 SEND ME A SIGN
She exits the key race of this DMR meet. Top 3 all appear to be stakes quality and all three came back to win. Many others in there ran well back. L1 today and retains a top rider, Smith.

RACE 1 MSW 70K - 7F DIRT

8 WAYMOND BOND 3-1
6 STATESMAN 5-2
4 Y’S PASSION 12-1
7 MARVELOUS MAX 7-2

8 WAYMOND BOND
Unusual for a Baffert runner to not take money as a maiden in a MSW race. This one hasn’t taken a nickel in either start. He never looked comfortable on the rail in last and steadied. He did outrun his 4-5 mate late. Quick 4F drill.

6 STATESMAN
Clearly there is talent here. He is working sharply for his debut. Dam earned 1.6M, all on grass and going long. Offspring of her have won 2.2M mostly on turf. Sise 0 for 16 with debut runners with 6 in top 3. Maybe wait one.
