I have had to pay a tax on Netflix streaming since I first started taking it a couple years ago. I live in the "no tax" state of Nebraska. Chicago is just catching up us Huskers.

I hope the good citizens of Chicago don't smoke when they use the cloud -- Chicago's tax alone on a pack of cigarettes is $6 dollars, the highest in the country!

Many of the homeless no longer ask you for a cigarette, but will offer to buy one from you for from a quarter to fifty cents. My niece and her husband recently quit and discovered they were saving $90 a week !

The city is broke and trying to tax itself out of a very deep financial hole. Ironically the more they tax, the less desirable the city becomes. I can see the city becoming another Detroit.
