As bad as some of these horses look against the top tier, you'll never get odds like this on them ever again. So you might as well take a shot on them, even in the backdoor straight pools.

that is not the proper way to think if you want to make money. that's the way you think if you want to gamble and not care if you lose.
i think i can give bolo a mulligan for is last race, and before that dortmund only beat him by a little more than a length.
3rd race off layoff, from an unspectacular race where he didn't have much chance means he'll be very long odds. you're basically getting 40/60-1 on a horse that could have easily been 15/20-1
