JC gold cup

Looks to be an interesting race. Palace Malice, Will take charge, plus the first 3 from the Travers. Hopefully people will get all over these 3 yr olds so I can get a big price on WTC and PM plus any other good older horse that will be running.

Let's watch how Palace Malice does in the Woodward. Hopefully that clunker in the Whitney was just a small misstep, but sometimes Pletcher horses never return to form.

Palace Malice has been ruled out of the Woodward after what was reportedly a poor workout.

Bill Mott said Cigar Street is likely to go in the JCGC.

Moreno now is eyeing the Gold Cup. Shaping up to be a dandy. IMLD not scheduled to run, though.

Cigar Street is super talented but all the injuries and setbacks may have ruined him. He will have to move way forward off that allowance effort last week.

LOL. If I told you what a little birdie told me about your post I would probably not be allowed to post anymore.

I find it interesting that his final work before this setback was in blinkers. Using blinkers on him didn't turn out too well in the 2013 Kentucky Derby.

Good eye.
Trainer Todd has been putting blinkers on alot of his horses recently.
I'm not sure why he's been making the equipment change, but the results have been good.
"Blinkers On the Todd" has become a solid handicapping angle.
It seems like he's been masking his older horses more than his young ones(TP usually doesn't like fitting his good young horses with blinkers).
Here's a list of some TP horses that have added blinkers recently:
Micromanage: Very good results starting with his Skip Trial score.
Capo Bastone: Not much....might of lost interest.
Notacatbutallama: Good results for a horse that had tailed off a bit.
Princess of Sylmar: One race....poor result(also might of lost interest).
Prontonico{3yo}: Added the blinkers yesterday and won the Smarty Jones like a good thing.
I'm sure there are more I've missed.
Reading LWM post about PM having blinkers on kind of fits the barn trend.
