TM "b" Files

Id like to use TM b files instead of the Bris files since I already use some TM products The problem is they dont contain post positions and it most software all the horses are "scratched",so I asked and heres the idiotic response I got IMO:
The comma delimited files are legacy files. They are designed for use in old, outdated software. We will not make changes to them because that can cause problems for users of old, outdated software. The only reason we sell the files is for people to use them in old, outdated software. We do not sell the files for any other purpose.
Thanks,
Craig
They are the same as the Bris single file just w/o the pp so I guess Bris is selling old outdated files too for old, outdated software.

Is there a (easy) way to edit and add the pp?
Thnx

I don't know anything about the TM "b" format, but if you're precise when you say "They are the same as the Bris single file just w/o the pp" then you'd need only to change the file extension on a single data file to the file extension used by the TM b files.

This is because Brisnet single data files are really just text files with the standard csv comma delimited format.

I use UltraEdit which is probably overkill for this task unless you may have other uses for it.

A quick Googling uncovers these free ones
CSVed - http://csved.sjfrancke.nl/
RecordEditor - http://sourceforge.net/projects/record-editor/

These are free to try
Ron's editor - http://rons-editor-ultimate-csv-editor.en.softonic.com/
Killink CSV Editor - http://www.whitepeaksoftware.com/killink-csv-editor

Good luck
