You simply have to monitor the odds if you play the game seriously these days. Knowing the odds as the horses load is no guarantee of anything, but it beat betting at 5 or 10 mtp to be a longshot.

This is a great point, with so many horses breaking thru the gates these days as well as late scratches and massive odds swings, you have to be tuned into your signal with full concentration.

Now, some have said that with so many tracks running you can't move post times all over the place because when you move one post time to avoid one track, you might conflict with another.
I have a problem with days and situations where only 2 or 3 tracks are running in the entire country and they're all on top of each other. Presque Isle is a great example. They're the only track who's running a race at 5:35 PM eastern on certain days, yet, they ran directly on top of the final race at Saratoga, which is a BIG race, as its the final leg of a massive pick 4 pool as well as the final pick 3 and the pick 6. Zero reason for them to run directly on top of that race, as there's nothing else running.

the problem is that for racinos horse racing provides little revenue.
you want horseplayers to be treated better. fine, but why?
you have a business where 90 percent of the revenue comes in from one source with minimal costs, liabilities, employees and energy, and 10% comes from the most labor intensive gambling enterprise imaginable.
that 10% is meaningless to the bottom line, the customer base is dying out.

There is a lot "Racing" can do to treat customers with respect that doesn't cost anything and they don't even do that. Its free for the GM of the track to walk the floors of his place and meet and greet as many "regulars" as he or she can...and yet, nobody does it. They "pass" on the free stuff that will create good will, so i'm not sure i can help them any.
As far as treating the customers better? I bet 98% of the customers wouldn't care if they were treated like crap as long as the takeouts were slashed down to levels that would create optimum growth.

Penn Nat and CT only 2 tracks running on the east coast and they're running at the exact same second.

Delta and Mountain the only 2 tracks running, and running on top of each other as of now. Mountain loading Race 2 as Delta was in the stretch for THEIR Race 2.
If they work hard enough they can time it JUSSSSSST right so that their races go off at the identical second.

Zia and Turf Paradise, the only 2 tracks running in America, right on top of each other.
Incredible.
Beyond words.

Did this prevent or stop you from getting down any bets you had intended to make? Just asking...

It did. I skipped one of the tracks so i could concentrate on the other.
Still, no excuse for it as even if people weren't inconvenienced and got all their bets in, people need to be able to watch and concentrate on those races to make notes or whatever and you're not able to do it. Totally no excuse when there's only 2 tracks in the entire country running.
