How much does it cost in Santa Anita to own a horse per month…Including trainer fees and vet fees and all fees.

I am also interested in claiming a horse for around 20k...

That venue is one of the most expensive, figure $3600-$4500 per month depending on the trainers day rate. Good luck!

Thanks for the information. I was not sure of the monthly fees, and I was kind of embarrassed to ask a trainer at Santa Anita.

Never be embarrassed when money is involved that you are investing..Ask them questions that you want!..Its your money!. The worse thing for a new owner is being afraid to speak..The sharks pickup on that fast!!!!....Good luck in your venture!
