I remember reading too about it being a botched attempt at killing a Saudi prince

All I know is Vegas detectives were pissed at the FBI for taking over, and that he wasn’t a “professional” gambler as the story went. Just a high stakes one and more than likely a loser. Possibly pissed at something or other or just crazy wanting revenge for something.

I believe the accomplice (Terry) in the Oklahoma bombing was eventually linked to Jihadists in the Philippines too
