Ok I have only a flat bet profit in the exacta category. Pretty good for millions bet huh. Only after 8 percent rebate. The rest were losers. Killed on the pick 6 and pick 5. Wish I could have that money back.

I think its because of the focus and amount of time on just one race is far higher than bets im rushing to finish like a pick 5. Diving deep into an exacta is full of good strategy and I hit it more. I did pretty good on pick 3. Same reason. But at the pick 5 I was terrible.

How did others fare when you pull a report???

I don’t find many races where think think there’s clear cut value. When I do, I try to maximize that opinion in the vertical. If I like two horses in the same race or dislike the favorite enough to think if can finish out completely, i have no problem betting two horses to win and trying to crush the race in the verticals.

I think a lot of people bet horizontals simply because the bets exist or because they want to make a score and not because they can maximize their value oriented opinions on the day.
