2022 HorseStreet Pars are AVAILABLE NOW!

2022 HorseStreet Pars are AVAILABLE NOW!

BIG IMPROVEMENTS THIS YEAR!
More class levels!
All tracks now have Clm N2l, N3L pars.
Hoping to ramp up to even more class levels in the future.
Classes fit together better than ever.
Better classes result in better pars.
Speed Reliability Indexes are up 4% across the board.
(We're actually looking good at KEE!)

Every year I IMPROVE THE TECHNOLOGY behind the par times.
This year was no different.
Improved the actual computing process used to make the pars.
These pars way more accurate.
Improved the weighting for past races.
There is a system that determines exactly which races to use for accurate class levels.
Determined races where the winner was on-lead at 1st call is 9x more predictive than stretch run winners!
Over the years it has gone from 1x, to 3x, then 4x, and now 9x!

Dave,

I ordered your book last week.

I've got a question on how you suggest I round up or down the fractions.

When the time in your pars is 57.75, the Racing Form makes the time 57.3. I've been rounding up to 57.4.

How do you suggest we use your pars?

Thanks.

My I use the exact number but it really doesn't matter.

Our industry is based upon near-blink-of-the-eye distinctions when the reality is plus/minus 3 lengths is probably as good as it gets.

Here's where you find the video for using pars.

Dave,

Thanks for the answer.

What I do is convert the times to a speed comparison chart.

57.0 = 96

In the above examples if I round down to 57.3 is 93 and 57.4 is 92.

I handicap by hand and have my track comparison charts along my back wall. so handicapping is as easy as comparing Belmont's sprint rating of 93 to Oaklawn's 91 to Turf Paradise's 97.

So I'll round to the nearest fifth which should be more accurate.

Until I run into the 10k time of 57.5 Then I'll round up or down depending on the other sprints for that track.
