Stronach 5 Results??
No one hit all 5 today in the Stronach 5, resulting in a carryover in excess of $169,000. The last two winners paid $89.40 and $140.00. I was able to track down the carryover amount on TVG/NJbets. No payoff amount was posted. So I'm assuming that there is no payout for having 4 or 3 winners?

I thought this thread would be about the number of lawsuits filed.

The Stronach 5 has to quote DRF "100% Carryover/No Consolation Payout". It also has a 12% takeout and a $1 minimum bet. I've been playing it most weeks but my problem with it so far is that 3 of the 5 races are usually pretty lousy races. And having unraced maidens in any leg but leg one is not my idea of a good investment even with a 12% takeout.

If there's a 12 percent takeout and a full carryover, that is a super-attractuve bet.

I was planning on posting my selections and still may. I do plan on playing it.
The sequence has a high degree of difficulty though.
Irad Ortiz riding Pletcher in the 10th is rare, even rarer to ride for Repole. the 7/2, and the ML fav.
11 horses entered, I can make a case for 6.

Do those nitwits at GP routinely include horses who have no chance when trying so desperately to lure the public to play their crazy wagers?
Why not just give $108 to charity instead?

Why is leg one ok? Just so it doesn't come down to the final leg Maiden showdown? I see what you're saying, but order doesn't make it a better investment all of a sudden.
Golden Gate seems like it would be the issue for me. Isn't that Tapeta or some other garbage polytrack surface? It's funny looking back at how silly that poly crap was, yet it's still at places going down the tubes like Arlington Park as well.
Does anyone know if sportech carries the Stronach 5 on its tote? That's what is at my local OTB, and I love playing pick 5s and 6s nowadays ...
