1040A is no more.
The IRS got rid of Form 1040A. I was not consulted. Now my taxes are a lot more complicated. They're diving me nuts.

Do what I do.
Use TurboTax
If your return is simple, you can do it online for free.
If it's a little more complicated, spend $30-$100 (depending on what you need) for the downloadable software (which is what I do).
Takes most of the pain out of doing even moderately complex returns. Plus you can deduct the cost on your return.

Been using TT for 8 years.
Did mine online today, over coffee - took an hour.
Thanks for reminding me mostie!
$129 for both Def and State, eFiled, and pay the bill out of the refund.
I get full records in PDF format.
Estimated date of return - 21 days.
Simple to use, and after year 1, your data is there and it is much easier to do,
Step by step through everything you need to do, and they fill out the forms for
you.
Can't recommend it enough.
And when you have to account for BILLIONS every year like I do.....

Did you get your tax info from twinspires? Still have not received it nor is it available online.

Just a silly question for you...
Are you aware that the "300-1" rule is now against the entire cost of your ticket?
Unless you play a $1 or $2 ticket and get lucky, signers nearly eliminated.

What? Give us some facts. The new rule went into effect in September 2017.

Instead of "demanding facts" figure it out. I demand you post your CPA credentials, and I'll post my W2G.

I do not put my financial information online, period.
I have a separate computer for my finances. It is not connected to the internet. It has its own printer connected by a cable so it is not even connected to wifi.
Even if you buy Turbo Tax on a disk it cannot be installed without an internet connection. Ergo, you cannot use Turbo Tax offline. That's straight from Turbo Tax tech support.

The standard deduction for married senior citizens filing jointly is $26,600. If I itemize deductions I come nowhere near that.

Gary:
You've responded to something I've posted maybe 3-4 times in the few years since I've been here--I recall none were very cordial.
I don't really need your help--thanks.

As mentioned, turbo tax is the bomb.
If you aren't into that (for whatever the reason) I hear AARP does seniors taxes for free.
