my pump on eggs, CALM, i sup close to 10% and it pays a 10% dividend sometimes. this might be a great place to hangout while this market goes down. i wish i was good enough to come up with a fantastic stock like GAMESTOP. but if you told me that it was going to go up and you gave me the money to buy it, i would never play it.
the dollar is firming up today, while gold is lower.

I liquidated what amounted to about 25% of my holdings today. I'm going to start buying precious metals on the dips. Not in a huge rush, so I can be patient with my purchases, even though just having cash sitting in a bucket isn't the best use, but it's a better use than some of these issues right now.
Eggs are up 10% in a fortnight. That is.......unusual.

There's something coming I think. I'm not the sharpest guy when it comes to this stuff, but I've been making some decent moves over the last 6 months, which tells me anybody can do it. That's not a good sign.
Sold half my AAPL and ROKU today, amongst a couple others. They're not doing so well after hours. Held on to all my TSLA hoping the after hours announcement would be surprising. It came up middling. I'm gonna have to take some lumps on that one I'm afraid.
I'm definitely an overall seller right now.

I hope you did not get your short in you were mentioning.
It is interesting the SEC is going to investigate price manipulation.
When was the last time they did that with Goldman Sachs and some of the venture funds that do the same thing?

There's nothing to investigate.
What are they going to do? Shut down the internet....oh wait...
Anyhoo...they'll invent something to curtail what is happening right now...this can't go on...the big boys can't be made fools of like this...plus they (the hedge funds) are losing a boatload (well, some of them are).
Can't have that!
Only mom and pop 401k are allowed to lose everything when the big boys **** something up royally...only to get bailed out...

here's how the big guys got nailed. they borrow the shares to short, then they re-lend the same shares to someone else that shorts, then they do it again. the combined total is 141% of the float that is short.
the people we think are the dopes see this and figure out how to nail them to a cross because they are usually the ones that bend over and take it up the rear end. this time they got them and they aren't letting go right now. this probably has some more to play out before it comes to an end. those short shares are going to be called back and there will be some capitulation at the end.
the good part is that Game Stop has been able to pay their loans off and won't go out of business now. the stock was really worth nothing a few weeks ago, now it has some value to it. and the one thing for sure that will happen now is that there will be more regulation of the shares that get loaned out to short. its also going to make it a lot tougher to short, which might turn the markets at some time less of a casino atmosphere.
the only reason that i haven't got involved in this one is because i don't have any knowledge of the time frames involved in it, i suspect something will come off on Friday, options expirations day.

so...a strange story with me today....and you should extrapolate to the BIG picture....
Bank of America called me today....had missed a payment...$54....and they wanted their $10 late fee as well...due 1/31...
HHHmmm....I have credit score of 802...have missed payments before in the thousands...just sent a check covering plus a little more for 20 years...never EVER got phone call before....
sssoooo......
A...phishing scam...although knew my acccount #....ect....but I told them...it's not even the 31st yet...SHIT...I'll go to the local brach and pay it...no way paying over the phone.....
B...even worse...it WAS BOA....(I think this is actually right)....and they are IN A WORLD OF HURT with credit card payments...ect....and are panicking...
you tell me....
my point being...if B is right...this market is tanking...
Like I state previously...stimulus priced in NOW...sell the news...

if 141% of float short is true, besides traders some brokerages will be going under. check out this thread, the guy made over $33 million today on GME.

If it's only late 1/31, I'm voting for A. I got another scam for my paypal account today, one every few months. First time was over a year ago, and after an hour or more research, I came up with a phone number for paypal, and they said no it wasn't them. But mine is an email, and not a phone call. And I don't owe, or have never owed a dime to paypal.
If B were true, we're all in a world of hurt. This house of cards is coming down in a nasty way I'm sure. We'll probably hear how congressmen have profited from inside knowledge, like several did last time.
Good Luck.

this game basically ends this Friday on most of these shares that are being called in and options expiration day. there will be plenty of shares unloaded by then...
i have no clue what the bottom will be for GME. by now its probably more than $50 and the stock might actually be worth that number..
also, i have heard that some hedge funds that are or were offshoots of Goldman Sachs got stung by this deal. 99 9/10's % of the time they always win.. the few plays that went against them the past week might have taken all the profits away.
