Yep. Consider that her predecessor worked his way up to become the track announcer at a NYRA track - one of, if not, the most prestigious circuit in the country.

And they replaced him with someone with 1% the qualifications as Chris.

I watched and listened to several Parx races today for the first time...not good, not good at all. If she is getting better, then she must have been really not good at the start.

I do not like to be down on race callers, but she just needs to slow down until she learns to get a rythym at the distances.. I tend to agree with u..

She is still bad. She was terrible in beginning so her improving was a very low bar.

I grew up on Tom Durkin so my standards on race callers was very high, but after listening to her makes me appreciate Imbriale and Griffin a lot more.

it's pretty much a mute point

some of the races, it sounds like she's talking matter-of-factly, rather than 'announcing' with timing/suspense/dramatic finish in a gambling game.

I then cynically wonder whether or not she spent thousands of hours emulating her idol race callers and practicing calls of imaginary or favorite races, or whether she just had an opportunity to try something and was given the job.

then I go pay more attention to others, and some other announcers (although their timing and portrayal of contention is better) don't try to, pump drama into every race, so maybe it's just a bias I have against her.

That's about all the thinking I devote to the subject. And it's wayyy too much (thanks guys, I blame you guys for your threads, and complaints, and praises, and moderate claims of mild improvement).

Mute or sometimes background music is fine while I am doing the race-watching stuff.

You mean like Marshall Cassidy?

I seriously wondered if he ever got excited.

But point taken.

Had enuf , in a way can't blame her

Poor fellow got slaughtered for talking like he does w/2 impressions...2 views 😂

That was it, dragged and slaughtered in public to 180,000 views

Rude 😂. Thinking the abuse Andy Sterling gets on Twitter , anyway she's got experience at it i'd imagine.

I'll tell you where the real respect is! It's in the middle east, that's where america females get treated respectfully.. especially the professionals.

To be completely honest she's gotten a lot better! I'll take her over the guy at Penn National!
