Grants Pass Downs Cancels 2022 Meet

Grants Pass Downs will not hold a 2022 meeting due to lack of horses. The meet was initially announced in February.

Poor Jason Beem who I believe is the track announcer at GPD sucks they cannot have a racing season this year

The situation is getting so bad... Except east coast tracks and ofcourse the Keenlands, Churchills etc.. I dont know if it is a rumor or not but I heard Santa Anita might have a issue next week with races due to such limited entries. I was told that the racing secretary is writting the races and it is limiting alot of horses to be eligible to run. Again this could be rumor.. Has anyone heard this or have more info?

Santa Anita will indeed have an issue with races next week, as they are dark all next week...after Easter Sunday, their next racing date is Saturday 4/30

A lot of tracks might as well be shut down. Cheap claiming races with 6 entries are generally unplayable.

Maybe it's just me, but I rarely find a horse with playable odds in a 6 horse field.

Thanks for clarifying that Pace. I didn't bother checking the schedule when I heard that their was a lack of entires to fill the cards.
