Black Caviar at Royal Acsot

a question...has she EVER raced on soft/yielding turf?

Will any of the Euro jocks resort to "race" riding?

Thoughts...can anybody in this race get her?

Black Caviar runs Saturday 1045am ET

Answer to your first question - yes.

In the Brisnet PPs listed for her (which only go back 6 races) she won on a yielding track twice.
The ground won't be an excuse if she gets beaten.

I have no idea how the jocks will try to beat her with race riding.
Seems they will have a job sticking with her.

Can she be beaten?
After a long journey, anything is possible.
Unlikely, but possible.

I have to say, though, if I was on Betfair, I would lay her at 1-4.
Wouldn't want to lose more than a couple hundred, but the chance to make four times what you risk, with fourteen horses running for you against one, is on the tempting side.

I won't bet the race, but am really looking forward to watching it.

Only negative could be her post, 15 of 15 (stands side). Yesterday after the rain the low numbers appeared to have a big advantage. That being said the post postions for the first three home in the opener today were 12-18-10 and she should have enough speed to get good position against really what is a sub par field.

Will probably end up watching a replay of this race because I'm planning on sleeping in tomorrow and won't be getting up early enough to watch it live. LOL

Hope she smokes 'em. She's traveled thousands of miles for this. She just came into the paddock.

Well at least they can't say she's the best in the world now, otherwise you'll need to put Soul as 2nd ahead of Frankel
