The UK tipsters LOVE these big field handicaps. (So do I!) For my own amusement, I track the tipping on 4 different UK racing websites. It can get pretty interesting to see an 18-24 runner handicap with up to 10 different horses selected - and STILL have a non-selected horse win. Happens often enough.

Gary Stevens couldn't get over the whopping 127 Jackie's Warrior carried today. The way he was going on I though he had a baby elephant in the saddle.

Well he was carrying 11 lbs more than Doc Amster & it took him awhile to get that weight moving thus giving DA the lead out of the gate.

Reminds me of the marathon handicaps that were run at Jefferson Downs. I remember one horse carrying 134 pounds. The bullring was so small for a marathon that I could never figure out when they reached the last lap. lol Crazy races.
