49ers Cowboys

Closer game than I expected but that might be due to home field advantage but LOOK at the NFC standings in both the NFC West and NFC East...The 49ers are in the toughest division of that league and the Cowboys the worst.

NFC West total won/loss: 40/28
NFC East total won/lass: 32/36 Much tougher for the San Frnciso team to get to the playoffs and THREE teams from that division made it in. The NFC North was also 30/36 but a team from that division was not playing in this one.

Second: Anyone notice the very odd helmet worn by 50 of the niners, the center named MACK? I recently wat hed an NFL Films show about the research into better flex and chsioning of the newer energy absorbing helmets and this one as NEVER shown. It had a "V" shaped area equivalent to about the forehead area that acually stuck about an inch OVER the edge of the front. Looking at it, it was almost like the front end of a ship.

Could this be a special order helmet just for the center since that position requires a lot of direct head on trauma? Never saw one like it in all the varieties of helmet that I have observed.....Mahones and Rogers still wear a realtive "old timer" helmet oddly enough.

Players have become so much more strong and massive, I'm not sure anything sensible would save them. Necks will always be vulnerable too. Can't do much with a neck-brace on.
I'm always happy when the Cowboys lose though. Jerry Jones is a rich old self centered sack of shit.

That game was the modern version of A Comedy of Errors!

Everyone must have had their masks on too tight. WTF were the Cowboys thinking on the last play of the game? Were they drinking in the huddle?

About the only decent game of the "Super Wildcard Weekend." The extra two wildcard games sucked. My Eagles embarrassed the entire city, painful. Although it was good to see Ben R. go out in a game that was meaningfull, at least.

There definitely is a situation where beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I enjoyed all 4 of the blow out games, as I had the favorites, unfortunately I was a chicken and just played a 4 game ML parlay that paid + 212. If I am just watching with no dog in the fight I want a game that goes down to the wire.
