many years ago, there were no computers to automate everything; even so, it was never 10 hours or more, for me.
one to two meeting per week, and maybe 3 to 5 races on each card.
maybe a few hours on the day before, and a few hours to review after update the card index system.





if i was betting now, it would be every race, on very card, in my country, (depending on expectation), and would take far less time to do it(no study and no review).
it would be far smaller bets, but many many more of them.
