Great simulcasting set up. Then walk a few steps to the dining area at 630 for night live racing. Heaven.....

80 mins to Laurel
60 mins to Parx

Any other OTBs
or Tracks in the area worth considering? Have yet to try Timonium, know little about their OTB but heard they've renovated or something to that effect.
I live about 30 min Northwest of you.

I prefer Delaware Park (Free internet) /Penn Nat. I was at laurel yesterday they made major improvements to the grandstand, clubhouse. Free internet. Parx not been there in 2 yrs. it's okay. NO internet.

Delaware park they reserve seats for the big days, so you better get on now. And Penn national is very good , great restaurants and clubs too. maybe a shorter distance than Laurel. I like Penn Nat the best , but Del is much closer.

There's an Laurel OTB right in Elkton or close to it , at least there was.

I had read about that place on beer advocate so when I went down to Delaware to play football and horses I made a pit stop. There is so much there it would be good to study up before going. They also have a tap room in the back where you can fill growlers.

The OTB I was referring to was in north east MD, but it appears to have closed.

The few OTBs that were in Maryland closed. Two have opened recently during this whole 'revitalization', one out near Hagerstown (sports bar and grill) not far from Charles Town and one at Timonium. The MJC are supposedly getting an OTB up and running at the Hollywood Casino in Perryville, the next exit south from North East off I-95; early on it was said they would be opening Maryland Million day (this weekend).

Perryville, that place is dead. lol. I stop by there to watch Football games sometimes. OTB there will wake it up a lot.

Same with the meadowlands top floor clubhouse simo area.. sigh
the new penn national is pretty nice too. the simulcast theater on level d is really the only disappointing part of the whole facility.

It's slightly possible they might not have known -- but sad to say, they probably did know. Parx simply does not give a shat about the horse playing customer.

Pennsylvania Derby Day was also great for the player -- unless that is you're the kind of customer that prefers to be abused, scorned and treated like a chump.

Parx is a shit hole, I am sorry to say.

i have been told that Stronach isn't taking over the place until January, those people know how to fix up a place and cater to horse players. in Gulfstream they have plenty of private rooms with plenty of televisions and a teller. the food is great there and if you bet enough they will put you up in a hotel as long as you are there.
