Aqu chart question

15DEC race 3 Tothelefttotheleft shows "g" in his equipment line. What is "g"? Is that a special shoe or martingale or what?

Maybe a typo ? My DRF chart for that race lists the familiar "f" for front bandages. Since "f" is right next to "g" on the keyboard it could be just a slip of someboby's finger.

Could be goggles, or a variety of protective eyewear, usually included as part of a hood.

This is from the data field description file for the newer Brisnet, comma delimted
Comprehensive Charts Files

This is the field from the Start file, (file #2) data field #29

Code:
29 Equipment codes Char 7 see codes below
No Equipment H Outer Rims S Nasal Strip
		 1 Running W's I Inserts T Turndowns
		 2 Screens J Aluminum Pad U Spurs
		 3 Shields K Flipping halter W Queen's Plates
A Aluminum Pads L Bar Shoes Y No shoes
		 B Blinkers M Blocks Z Tongue tie
C Mud Calks N No Whip
D Glued Shoes O Blinkers Off
		 E Inner Rims P Pads
F Front bandages Q Nasal Strip off
		 G Goggles R Bar Shoe
Are NYRA tracks the only ones that will publish complete equipment info?

I know the smaller ones don't publish shoe info. At HOO there are runners sometimes that run in screens but I have never seen this in the charts.

I wish there were standard reporting requirements on this type of info for all tracks that want an NTRA certification or something similar.
