There was nothing wrong with our ground strategy in Syria. Nothing. The campaign there has been simply brilliant since about 2015...

So, how long should we stay in Syria? Or Afghanistan for that matter. I'm not saying its the right move or not, time will tell. We are still in Iraq and could redeploy if need be, or support via air attacks.

I have yet to receive a "REPORTED POST" from you about anything Tom has posted. So apparently, it's not really a problem for you. So I'm not sure why you feel the need to post stuff like this on the board.
Other members of the board appear to know how to use the "REPORT POST" function...maybe you can ask them how to do it.

Nah...
Plus his rep points are obviously very important to him.

You don't lose rep points when one of your posts are reported.
Rep points only come from people directly clicking on the "Add to ----- Reputation" symbol under your user name.
And no one person (not even me) can give another single individual more rep points, without first giving rep points to others. In other words, I can't give you rep points more than once without first giving a bunch of other people rep points over a given amount of time. So it's difficult to "rig" the rep point system.
Therefore, it's a pretty accurate barometer of where you stand with the general population around here...I'm sure many, if not most, couldn't care less, but I thought an explanation was required seeing how you wrongly imply a reported post could lead to a loss of rep points.

My screen doesn’t show any ‘add to’ for rep points...I’ve never given anybody any cause I don’t know how...what am I missing?

Click the scale at the bottom left of posts.
He's mostly running smoke here anyway. It's a few day old post.
I bumped it in light of more administration brilliance on display today.

It is sickening. Truly sickening.
American troops lives are lost every year. It is nothing new.
They put their lives on the line for us morons day in and day out. Without prejudice. Without concern. Without any care for justice.
800-2,000 lives a year from our troops is to be expected year in and year out. Regardless of POTUS.
Our biggest problem forever will be how we have completely eff'd up the Middle East.
Anybody that thinks they have a Middle East strategy is a pure moron. They all hate us, one way or another. We've killed thousands to millions in each and every country. We've changed so many sides, nobody even knows what side we are on. What side of any are we on in the Middle East?

We should be talking more about Trump's trade policy. The Trump haters on here --you and the remaining 98 per cent of PA posters-- never talk about it. Why not?
Here could be one reason for the why not, from 1-15-19:
Quote:
Price levels have held remarkably steady on most categories of goods in 2018, defying predictions that American households would be squeezed by tariffs on steel, aluminum, and around $250 billion of goods made in China. On Monday, China’s commerce ministry announced that it ran a trade surplus with the U.S. last year that was the highest on record. The U.S. collected around $8 billion in tariffs in the October through December period, around 83 percent more than the period a year prior.

I hate to break this to you, but I pay far less moderating attention to OFF-TOPIC by design...it's ALWAYS been more of a mad house/free-for-all compared to the horse racing topics, where I TRY HARDER to moderate closely.
There just aren't enough hours in the day to make it worth my while.
Sorry. But you either live with it (and REPORT suspect posts you'd like me to take a closer look at) or find somewhere else to hang out.
This place isn't my full time job, thanks to assholes who use ad-blockers and don't make PA an exception, and cheap ****ers who refuse to throw me a dono every once in a while...

Hasn't happened yet.
No confirmation this week's attack had anything to do with the pull out.
