The world’s ten most expensive stallions for 2019

https://www.thoroughbredracing.com/a...tallions-2019/

1. GALILEO Fee: private
2. DEEP IMPACT Fee:40 million yen (£289,000)
3. DUBAWI Fee: £250,000
4. WAR FRONT Fee: $250,000 (£197,000)
5. TAPIT Fee: $225,000 (£178,000)
6. FRANKEL Fee: £175,000
7. MEDAGLIA D’ORO Fee: $200,000 (£158,000)
8. CURLIN Fee: $175,000 (£138,000)
9 (tied). SNITZEL Fee: A$220,000 (£122,000)
9 (tied). SEA THE STARS Fee: €135,000 (£122,000)

So if you have a grade 1 winning mare and want to breed to Galileo, is it possible? Is it only a foal sharing process where they are the majority partners?

I think that he's old and they're limiting his book, hence the private listing.

Buying the Breeding Shack from one Big Pegasus Win.

Tapit

The son of Pulpit checked in at $12,864,453 this time around. It’s a very respectable figure but one that places him in fifth on a leading sires’ list that has come to be skewed by the Pegasus World Cup.

Not my area so this is a stretch.

I saw/heard a string of gate issues with Tapits 2 and 3 YO's. Often enough that it seemed inbred.

Shhh. They certainly do in SoCal. And sometimes it takes many, many races to get it even slightly fixed. It's nuts.
