Caps have been mediocre all year. Maybe new strategy, try to get good at the right time this year.

Not only is Ian Cole apparently on his way out of town, he and his representation are seeking a new place to set down fresh roots after nearly three years in Pittsburgh.

Per a report from Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Penguins have given Cole's agent Keith Magnuson permission to speak to prospective trade partners as Jim Rutherford attempts to deal the 28-year-old defenseman. That means a sign-and-trade agreement could be in the works, in which a player agrees to a fresh contract that kicks in as soon as he arrives on his new team.

I'll give you that one. It was a case of "Divine Intervention" that night. He promised a kid from Ontario (cancer survivor) that he would score for him, he got him 3 and the pucks afterwards. It's getting harder and harder to dislike the guy.

But where was Ovechkin on October 17th?

CJ is a selective poster, but i still owe him an apology. I was going through some stats and noticed that in 1991 to 1993, the NHL played 84 games in those two seasons, if you recall a conversation we had a couple of years ago.

The Washington Capitals have placed Aaron Ness on waivers according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports, likely with the intention of sending the 27-year old defenseman back to the minor leagues

Cole may be headed to the Oilers with a 1st round 2018 Draft pick for a Center. I'll post the name when I know for sure. via face book

You forgot this one....

Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray has been placed on injured reserve and ruled week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie reports the goaltender is expected to miss four-to-six weeks with an apparent right leg injury.

McKenzie expects the Penguins to be in the market for a low-cost experienced backup on the trade market.

We will gladly trade you Pickard if you take back Kessel’ $1.2 mill retained salary.
