As low as payout can go

Anyone catch the conso payout on Gulfstream's late pick 5 today? 52 cents for 4 of 5. So I thought $2.10 was the minimum $2 payout on anything at the track, guess that's not the case. If they can break that into pennies, what's holding back removing breakage??



I believe TVG was broadcasting some Swedish harness this week & it looked like all those odds were to the penny. Haven't tote issues been a supposed thing holding back penny breakage from being paid out in the US? If so, maybe they can speak to whoever is running things over there.

$2.10 divided by 4 is 52.5¢.
We do not have ½ cents.

The tracks always rounds payoffs down in their favor.

I tkink they call that breakage.

Lets not publicize this, some track out there will see this and lower the minimum win bet to 50 cents just to get a little more breakage.
