Gulfstream run-ups

Does Gulfstream post or announce the run-ups for any of their turf races beforehand or can you only learn this afterwards in the charts?

I do not think they announce it before hand, and what the charts report is more of a guess than fact.

They do at the link I provided. There isn't racing today or it would already be updated. Usually have a few days in advance.

What does Timer 121 and Front Gap 4 mean?
Gap looks like it might be important - 45 ft difference between 3 and 4?

From Saturday

Quote:
Race 6 1m ( 84ft Rail ) Timer 121, Front Gap 4, Run-Up 256ft
Race 8 1m ( 84ft Rail ) Timer 121, Front Gap 3, Run-Up 211ft

I think the Timer number is which set up they use for Trakus for that race, and Gap 4 is where the gate is brought onto the course. They tell you the run up anyway so don't think it really adds much for handicappers. It is for the gate crew.

Me too. Now if only tracks would make equally available what the distance between the finish line and the first turn is.
