Oy...act of bravery? How so exactly?

Pepper spray ain't the end of the world...yeah, it's irritating, and yeah, it sucks, but you'll live...you'll get over it in a matter of hours...not weeks...not months...hours....and there will be no lasting effects...

Should it have happened? Probably not. Is it being blown way out of proportion? Oh yeah...by orders of magnitude more than the very act itself...

The trouble with your rant is that I don't believe for one second that you would give a shit if you didn't despise Occupy Wall Street.

For all we know Spiderman is suggesting e-mailing the guy and showing him your support if that's how you feel. Anyway, what he posted is easily available:
Yeah, right. And your first point, once again, as is common with you, is totally incorrect. But you knew that. You just need to get a mouthful into this.

I am hardly anonymous - unlike YOU.
What are YOU afraid of? Why don't YOU reveal yourself.
Many here know me in the real world - I use my real name, I list me real city....YOU hide behind a made up name and feel you have the right to violate some one else's privacy. They don't come any lower than you.

A video has emerged taken a few minutes before they were sprayed. The cops asked them to leave of they would be sprayed - their response was to "spray us"

Is that what you call it?? In the Marine Corps, getting gased will only get you a check in the box in your training record - Yea, I'm sure they will get the "Liberal Medal of Honor". Watch, I'll bet the entire lot will put in for disability in a few months - citing post tramatic stress.

of course they wanted to be sprayed, that was the whole point of sitting there infront of all the TV cameras. then after the spray they can act all astonished and pretend that they are being oppressed and having their right to free speech violated.

Regarding the first point, it sure was!

The second point (the public link to the officer's phone number and e-mail address at the college website) clearly shows how silly your over-the-top rant was.

IMO your biggest problem here in Off Topic is that you see everything in black and white. No gray areas anywhere. Over the years I've come to the conclusion that those who refuse to acknowledge the existence of gray areas make for lousy people to deal with in whatever role they play in other people's lives.

Not saying you have any tangible role in my life, of course.

Anyway, if you lowered the bluster here a few notches, it would be easier to understand why everyone who met you here likes you. (shrug)

Earlier in this thread some of us who are hip Marxism and its adherents labeled OWS as a Socialist Movement. Of course, we told otherwise by the liberals, here.

This should settle the argument, once and for all. These people just don't like business, period:

Demonstrators Plan to Occupy Retailers on Black Friday

On the bright side, any boycott by the left is bound to fail as most Leftists are unemployable, freeloader deadbeats.

And on December 12, they plan to try to shut down all ports on the west coast because truckers and longshoremen provide revenue to the 1%.

Yet NJ and mostie will see the logic here.

i cant figure out why the republican side did not associate with the descend-ers.

they Might not be on the same levil as "tea Party ppl", but since they've been taken up by the Democrates, the republicans have allowed the protesters to appear to be ONLY protesting Big Business.

It should be pointed out that for the most part (if Allowed) the protesters are really against Authority and since the Dem. are in position of Authority, then they should be receiving effects of this proper reasoning.

Instead, the Democrats have not allowed the protest to find proper fault.

and we will most likely have the-BO for another four....thank you very much, senior.

Has there ever been a more clueless group than OWS? How does shutting down the Port of Los Angeles represent anything for the so-called 99%? How come they didn't occupy the property of GM, who was bailed out? How come they haven't gone to the homes of Congressmen? Do they even know what Glass-Steagle was? Their economics is as bad as their math and their hygiene.

welp...good points babe.

so i agree, but lets take a lookey and see, the protest is national.

it may take some time, depends on Momentum, but if they can ONLY see that Momentum being progressed thru the Media/Democratics, then that's their path.

they dont have to be perfect, most being young, can be excused.

If they get NO help in using a better path, as you say to GM/Congress, then they'll Look as if they were on one side only... and i doubt that to be the case.

gonna take some time, long time going in and a longer time going out from the Mess.

enough people do not really see, so we might be best having another four years, in order for a clear picture.

Greece is one thing, but they rely on tourism, while we are more diverse.

With the right person in charge, we open up our shale oil fields....problems solved...and so will the problem in Greece be solved.

This debt issue is false and harmless except for the people that it spoils.

They killed a restaurant

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/milk...ticle-1.990960

Milk Street Cafe, the restaurant whose business dried up in the face of the Occupy Wall Street barricades, is shutting down.

Thursday will be the last day for the 23,000 square-foot eatery that opened at 40 Wall St. in June, the Daily News has learned.

“It’s terribly sad,” Milk Street Cafe owner Marc Epstein told the News.

Epstein blamed the barricades that remained in front of his restaurant even after the Occupy Wall Street protestors were removed from Zuccotti Park.

“This is now the 12th straight week of the barricades,” he said.

The restaurant owner, who operates an eatery and catering business in Boston, said he pressed the city daily for their removal, but got nowhere.

Milk Street Cafe’s closure will result in the layoff of 70 workers. That’s on top of the 21 let go in October.
