A one line obituary of him has been published in a Lincoln newspaper
Whereas you TJDave might not want others on this board to know of your demise, I think that the detective would want it mentioned here as there were so many people who he enjoyed interacting with and they enjoyed him.
With his name already in a public paper, there is absolutely NO reason to close this thread.
Good. I'm glad that you cleared it with him in advance.

You must have taken more than your allowed dosage of "Bitter Pills" this morning, as you are coming across as a very dour man who loves to rain on parades.

I love parades. Unlike deaths, they are typically announced in advance.

Sorry to hear about Robert. We had a few differences and a few agreeable debates and commonalities. Sent him a few PM's and found him an interesting fellow. RIP

This poor man passed away and every post about him is a tribute to him, his legacy, his interactions with people here and his soul.

Every post where you fight it, is attention given where it shouldn't.

I ask you, please stand down and let us pay our respects to a beloved PA poster.

He deserves the tributes, accolades and attention.

I was saddened to see this post. Had not visited his page on Facebook since February.

He has been missed already but it sure feels like we lost a friend.

Rest in peace, Perry.

That is very sad news. It seems as though the last few years of his life were a struggle for him. He no longer has to suffer. I'll bet that it was this site that gave him a lot of purpose for battling on. He has been, and will be missed. It's too bad we didn't get a chance to say goodbye.

RIP Perry Tunks

Although Robert and I usually disagreed politically, I ALWAYS respected his opinions. He didn't just read from a scripted mothership memo and disagree to disagree.
It was very obvious from his post that he truly felt and believed what he was taking a stance on. He backed those positions up and stood fast. No matter what side you are on, you have to respect someone as such.
May you rest in peace ("Detective") Perry...you will be missed here sir!!!
