Best part of the Story is the news stand is stuck with all the remaining
AM and PM editions and never received the regular DRF paper.

I told my friend I'd show him which(reguular) edition to order, but I'm sure he thinks I'm nuts.

Can't believe this will happen at Sar, but, while I can print the rular PPS,
I still favor the hard copy.

I will check out the Bris PP's as well..
I agree, that is bizzare. Good to have shown him the correct edition to order. Or perhaps he needs to order all 3, depending on your local, and what tracks the people want to bet.

I thought nowdays they allowed vendor returns on the DRFs. I know the company I work for takes in the returns. Not sure if for full price or not. In the 'Good Old, Bad Old Days' they did not.

Can you get a DRF off site in Omaha? In Lincoln I can't or at least all the places where used to get them drop them a while back.

Here is saturday and sundays Players Edition that i got in Vegas...East Coast

sat : Sar, Mon, Cal ,FL, Del, Phi, Penn, Wood
sun : Sar, Cal, Mon, Phi, Wood

I am guessing the WC had : Del Mar, Los Al, Emrld. If I remember correctly, when i went to Saratoga last year the DRF cost $5 but it had all of the main tracks including Del Mar. I will have to check when i go this year again. Sickens me to pay $5-6 for the form when i can get it here in vegas at the racebooks for free. rbj

Yes, Kubat Pharmacy at 50th and Center, Regis Food Mart at 108th and Center, and Cubby's at 13th in the Old Market that I know of, maybe a couple others.

Joe, can you tell us which books will comp their players Forms? Also helpful would be advice as to which books have the best players club as to earning points for meals, discounted rooms, as well as Forms. In recent years my Nevada trips have been to Laughlin or Lake Tahoe, so am badly out of touch as to conditions in the LV racebooks. Have been getting the urge lately to catch up on things in Las Vegas and vistit some of my old haunts and see some new ones.

I feel your pain. As far as I know, the DRF paper edition is not available antwhere in the state of Virginia. They no longer carry it in the OTB sites and even at the only track in Virginia, Colonial Downs. They say there was very little demand and had problems with delivery.

While I'm a fan of Colonial Downs, sometimes it's just a joke.

I do the same thing. I go to the track around the 6th or 7th race with my wife and I'll tell her to grab a seat for a second. She'll say to me, "You have to go scavenge again?", to which I always answer yes. Never come back emptyhanded.

The most any books dare to charge is $1 per region (I think), up to $3 total. South Point, e.g., charges $2 per edition, but it's refundable, and then if you're lucky and so inclined, you might get a returned form, free and relatively unscrawled and unscathed.

Recently, free booklets have become available. They are downloaded on the computer out front, and they pop out in the copy room. This operation consumes tons of paper, but it is far cheaper than buying forms from the D.R.F., even with credit for unused forms.

I don't use DRF much anymore, but when I do, I print at home.

I now use Bris PP's. Took a while to get used to, but I like them. They also provide more pedigree info, which helps me more since the majority of my plays are on the turf.

I usually only go to the Station Casino near my house, so i dont know what the other books do. When i do go, its the Sunset Station and they will sometimes charge $1, but maybe since they recognize me i get mine for free...and all of the harness forms are free. Not too sure about the comps/food/rooms anymore...but i guess if you play enough you can always ask. I was at Sams Town recently and they have a fairly new sportsbook and it looked nice. The book at the Red Rock Station is really nice also. If i get to more i will update. rbj ps : todays DRF had Sar, Pha, Del, FL, Prairie, Yav and Mnr.
