Main Speed

Anyone remember the Main Speed Method by Bill Olmstead?
I can't find my copy offhand.

'The Lone Speed Method has one and only one objective: to isolate and wager only on those races where a single horse figures to dominate the pace from gate to wire'". (I just copied from the amazon books site). May be others can throw some more details on this.

I've got my copy of The Lone Speed Method book, by Bill Olmsted.

Looks like you have enough for the HTR version, and a way to run tests. The book version stresses using Back Class and Pace Figures as important variables.

Not Lone Speed Method, Main Speed Method. It was part of the Crammer-Olmstead Newsletter, then Olmstead alone, and I thin I remember he was selling it a subscription service.

Olmsted's Complete Handicapper, on page 30, reviews the Main Speed Key Race play... if you have access to a copy of that book.

Ironically, The Lone Speed Method by Olmsted was published a year after The Complete Handicapper by Olmsted. The question then becomes "Does the Lone Speed Method replace The Main Speed Key Race Method?".

Does anyone have a clue?
