Belmont - Problem with post parades
They have the pony in between the camera and the horses in the post parade.
Post Parade is something that NYRA usually takes pride in.

The abbreviated nature also diminishes the quality of the parade.
You can't blame good ol' Sam The Bugler, but the coverage often starts before the horses are on the track, and I've missed the first couple of horses on occasion.
Just thought I'd make a complaint.

Speaking of the Belmont feed, do the now have that distorted aspect ratio disease I've seen at KEE and GP?
Picture is compressed horizontally on a normal , non HD feed.
And just tuned in and see we have no audio at all.

Im watching the video feed on the internet and on TVG and the Belmont picture seems 'dark' for lack of a better word. Its not as bright and as crisp as Keeneland.

The audio problem is on the cable feed in NY.
Dont you notice the horses are compressed , like its a wide screen picture scrunched to fit.

Now let's just wait a second, we all know that no New York track can do anything wrong, everything they do is trend setting and perfect.

You guys do realize NYRA has a phone number and a website with a contact form?
http://www.nyra.com/belmont/contact/
How many of you contacted them with your concerns about the way the post parade is being presented?

No replay show on MGM tonight either.
Post parades have always sucked - it is obviously not on anyone's list of what a quality broadcast is. Some of that slot money could buy a couple of cameras and mount them on a pole somewhere where they could actually show the horses, but don't hold your breath.

It's obvious to see that TVG is not obtaining a direct fiber feed from Belmont like they normally do - that explains poor picture quality and extreme latency - approx. 5 seconds slower than usual. They are getting the faster direct fiber feed from Keeneland.....
