After watching a few hours of the hearing today, I have changed my opinion from absolutely no way to maybe this won’t be as bad as I thought. ACB is certainly qualified and I think we can trust her assurance that her religious convictions will not influence her decisions.
Trump might be disappointed in the long run.

Very possibly. Many judges confirmed during Repub presidencies tend to lean more liberal as time goes on. Many lawyers (some constitutional, some active in politics today) post on hornfans.com's off topic. This has been discussed in length there.

I don't think Trump will. She's an "originalist" as her mentor was.

Amy Coney Barrett
A highly intelligent, knowledgeable, poised jurist and seemingly strong of mind and body.
Also seemingly a person of high moral character
Not a lot of bench experience, 3 years I think.
I would like to see someone of her bearing with at least 5 years, perhaps even 10 years..
She, her family and Notre Dame should stand tall and proud.
Now as for Mitchell Mc Connell and Lindsey Graham.
If these two senators had half the golden hallmarks of Barrett, there would be no hearings regarding any supreme court nominee until the people have voted for a president and that president seated.
As far a trump, who appointed ACB, he can not even be seated at her table.

And now Hirono. Having lived in Hawaii for 22 years she has always been a POS. Now she has elevated herself to Nader and Schiff levels.

You live in a fantasy world like Sammy, where what you wish means something. The truth is none of our fantasy's should ever become reality. Our United States is more grounded in what is good for the many and not the fantasy world. Anything about the pandemic or how many years on the bench need not apply, this selection was based upon intelligence of law of the nominee and the type of jurist being close in thought with Antonin Gregory Scalia.
