I hear ya! The worst thing is that about 1/3 of them are hard to see or not there. Its hard to watch and not get pissed off. And I'm talking about all the calls even when they are not against me.

I emailed the NFL about their pass interference penalties. They must get millions of emails about it. The inconsistency and degree of errors made is unacceptable.

Hypothetical - If there was a game or two a week with a crew who was working with the gambling enterprise and had a game where there was an incentive to provide an advantage to one team... these are yet another judgement call that provides a lot of room to do so.
On the level or not, it can dictate the way defense is played - making passing unstoppable or giving the D a green light to be physical, and the difference between a defensive holding on the route and pass interference can also be huge.
side note: These quick passes out to a back or a receiver where you've got several blockers(wr(s), TE, occasionally a lineman as well) out there setting a screen, holding defenders before the ball is even caught are starting to be very popular among playcallers. I haven't seen much correction from the referees or NFL about this.

My God do people have short memories. Wilson is playing behind a patchwork line, and now people would rather have Eli, Flacco and Carson Palmer? You can take those three; I'll take Wilson over them.

And this is partly why I will be watching Rangers/Blue Jays instead of Colts/Titans on Thursday.

I'd take Joe Flacco over Wilson without a second thought. Eli in his prime definitely - it's close today.

we're actually playing the texans and despite the short week, going on the road, the injuries, turmoil, and in-fighting i think we win this game if vontae davis plays.

Your Colts could easily be 0-4. Houston is a physical team, and the Colts are 0-2 against physical teams. Road teams in short weeks are up against it.

Let's compare the 3. Wilson has been in the league since 2012. Let's compare QB ratings, which are the single best metric to measure a QB's ability.
2015: Wilson 100.5 Eli 96.4 Flacco 80.5
2014: Wilson 95.0 Eli 92.1 Flacco 91.0
2013: Wilson 101.2 Flacco 73.1 Eli 69.4
2012: Wilson 100.0 Eli 87.2 Flacco 82.7
That's an ass whippin. Eli and Flacco aren't even remotely close.

you're right, we could be 0-4 but it's a lack of preparation as opposed to a lack of physicality that's beating us. and you're also right that there are several factors that are against us here but i think the key in this particular match up will be the improved play of our defensive line against the run. and with toler scheduled to return for this game i don't see houston having a chance against us through the air as long as vontae's there on the other side.

Those QB ratings mean little. Let's start with the fact that Flacco won the Super Bowl in 2012 season. And Wilson has played on superior teams from 2013 to 2015. Meanwhile Flacco and Eli tried to carry much weaker teams on their backs in those years. I'm not going to do much research on this now but there is a reason why Flacco and Eli threw over 100 passes more than Wilson in 2014; over 150 more in 2013; and about 140 more in 2012.
