2023 Royal Ascot

Here are past performances for Tuesday's card.
They are from the HKJC so the last race is at the bottom.

Thanks for those pp's.

I'm giving the #2 Berkshire Shadow a shot to crash the top three at a good price in the meet opener, the Gr1 Queen Anne Stakes, at 23-1.

Ran well last out in the Lockinge and has run well at Ascot.

Well then...

I don't know why I play these races when I really have no clue what's going on

The longshot winner looked full of himself before the race but so did a lot of others. Wesley Ward runners coming up in the next two races.

Hopefully, we can get a good price on Highfield Princess today, but probably not.

Race 3 is the Grade 1 King's Stand Stakes going the distance of 1000m or 5 Furlongs.

This horse is amazing. Winner of 3 in a row now, including 3 straight G1 victories in the Flying Five/Nunthorpe/Prix Maurice de Gheest all Grade 1 wins.

She loves the distance and the track condition (going) today, so that will help her along.

Jockey Jason Hart stays on in hopes of getting a comfortable ride to victory today in the King's Stand.

$50 WIN HIGHFIELD PRINCESS 2-1

Race 7 is the Windsor Castle Stakes going 5 Furlongs or 1000m.

Going to take a shot with MAXIMUM IMPACT in the finale. He is 2-for-2 to start his young career and looks to keep that in his mind heading into today's race. He's already won at Ascot, going the same distance back in May, winning by 2 lengths. Last race over at Leicester, he won again, winning comfortably by 12 lengths!

Jockey Kevin Scott has been on for both victories, and the draw the connections got today is hoping to be positive as he has had the inside (1 and 3) posts in both starts now on the outside for the first time.

The price should be right, seeing to get 5-1 or 6-1, and Scott should put this one in a good spot to contend late.

$50 WIN MAXIMUM IMPACT

The horse ran dead last. Looks like he went off as the favourite around 3-1. I guess he didn't like the outside post he had today.

Oh well, 0-2 in Ascot predictions.

American Rascal never looked interested in running, obviously he didn't take the grass.

Thank you, but that wasn't a prediction - it was just me celebrating the win for Weaver.

Is anyone else finding it difficult to handicap these 30 horse fields with the limited data in the international PP's? I want to play but just can't with these huge fields.
