Commendable live-and-let-live attitude, but you'd be hard pressed around here to sell that with regard to wild hogs.

'True Men Don't Kill Coyotes' is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
I have no opinion on the actual issue

My bad. I'm utterly unfamiliar with the RHCP. Stevie Ray or ZZ, then we're talking!

I have heard wild hogs taste better than wild coyotes (but do not have any known experience with either)

We have a subspecies here in Michigan. Far less lethal than some of the types in the west.
They're pretty endangered at this though... I've only ever encountered one.

Let's see...I've tried/tasted/flat out eaten....rattlesnake, gopher turtle (before illegal), armadillo (before finding out they cause leprosy...perhaps that's my problem), soft shell turtle, squirrel (which was nasty), rabbit, duck, numerous other birds, gator, and of course plenty of different sea creatures....
and of course cat/rat at the chinese places...
No manatees or mermaids or coyotes, dogs, horse (did have goat & lamb tho),coons & possums ( we sold those....well it's the truth....is that racist... )
Back to the O.T.....coyotes breeding with feral dogs is becoming a big problem is some places....they're smarter and nastier...

One of my wives coworkers was golfing at Bully Pulpit in Medora couple years ago. While walking off the T-box to his cart he was bitten. He went down and the thing bit him again lol. I don't like playing there until late in the season after they have went away for the year lol. I hate snakes

What's a gopher turtle?
I've had turtle soup. I don't remember what I thought, although I did get it down.. I might not do it again though.
I was in Point Barrow, Alaska once. Some kind of festival was going on and among other things they were serving whale and "Eskimo Ice Cream." Eating whale was like eating rubber bands. The Eskimo ice cream was rendered reindeer fat, tiny pieces of reindeer and sugar. No ice. No cream. The taste was meh. I think the texture was kind of like I imagine candle wax would be. The people living in PB eat high fat diets because they need the calories when winter shows up. Fascinating place. Buildings are on stilts so that the heat from the building doesn't melt the permafrost.

I had spaghetti and turtle once.
There was not enough parmesan in the word to make it taste good!

I'm shocked that a critter that crawls around a mud bottom all its life would taste bad.

Turtle isn't bad... depends what part you're eating though as there are, I think, five different cuts from it.
