BODEMEISTER COMES FULL CIRCLE

n 2010 Brookdale Sales sold an Empire Maker—
Untouched Talent yearling colt for breeder Audley
Farm. Later named Bodemeister, the colt became a
grade I winner and ran one of the most impressive
losing efforts ever in the Kentucky Derby. Five years
later, Brookdale's Fasig-Tipton Saratoga consignment
includes a Bodemeister colt (Hip 81) from the same
Virginia property.
"This will be the first Bodemeister from Audley Farm
offered at auction, so it's a nice second chapter for the
horse," Brookdale's Joe Seitz said. "The Bodemeisters
started off really well last year as weanlings and they've
continued to sell well as yearlings."

I was an avid Bodemeister fan, and am looking forward to seeing some of his offspring taking to the track in the near future!

Has at least one winner so far for Ward, just off the top of my head. Ran 2nd at Keeneland against that Pletcher Uncle Mo baby.

I have a big beautiful Bodemeister baby born in late April 2015. He is out of St Midas half sister to Social Inclusion he is rated thus far as a B+. The Bodemeister yearlings have averaged about $150,000 at the sales. He will end up being a solid sire.

Good luck..Have one myself .La Bred out of a sister to Countess Diana. The mare has had 5 foals to the races all have won, with one stake winner. Crossing my fingers..

There are no Bodemeister babies running as of yet they will run next spring as 2 year olds. I think you saw the wrong sire.

Yeah, this was only his 2nd crop, his 1st crop are just yearlings right now.

I suspect that they like the idea of getting some of that speed and heart in their purchases. If nothing else they end up with a very good miler, and you could do worse than that for sure.

The Factor did even better.

For Baffert, the gift of breeding rights to him with these two look like they may pay off handsomely for a few more years.

Understandably, great breeding lines on top, and with Buckpasser in the x chromosome passing position on the female side. Not a bad runner either, with 6 wins and 2 places in 13 starts.

He had a modest fee, so it's not the pedigree that brought top mares or these prices. They looked good physically.

As for the heart thing, it'd be nice if it could be proven one way or the other. While I read about it on forums and such, I've never heard anyone who's a breeder talk about it. I don't know if that means they don't believe in it or if they just keep it to themselves.
