Taris

Is anyone else as impressed with this filly as I am? I think this she is a real contender for the Oaks. In both races the 2nd place finisher came back to win next time out. Hey Kiddo by won by 2 and a quarter and Steady N Love won by 21 lengths. Obviously the distance is the question right now but that will be answered this weekend. She is the ML favorite in Saturday's Honeybee S. at Oaklawn.

Root families are AP Indy over Northern Dancer with solid distance breeding on both sides from Flatter and Theatrical. Thanks for the heads up!I've had my eye on Matador going in this weekends TB Derby.Ran 4th by a length but just saw where he got hit on the nose by another jockey. This was his first dirt race, off a layoff.Should be a lot better 2nd off and also has a nice pedigree with an AP Indy/Mr Prospector cross and good stamina out of Malibu Moon/Elusive Quality.I'm up late like a little kid before vacation looking at races and pedigrees for Saturday's races!Good luck Saturday man

I know the pedigree is there but I need to see it from her. Having said that, she has run awesome in her two races (6F/7F). I'm sure Potts will put her in the position she needs to be in... Just a matter of how good she really is.

Good luck to you too.

Watching that Laurel replay, I would be very concerned about Taris being a runoff first time long. (Unless there's a serious speed bias.)

This is a big step up in class Saturday. The 2-3 finishers from OP's local prep are solid. There's also a lot of speed signed up. I think Taris will ultimately be best sprinting.

A lot of speed in here, and a lot of hard to handle speed. Seems like it should set up perfectly for Please Explain and Ireland (if she can maybe get a little more patient ride this time).

Taris sure looked good defeating the nice Mandella mare Baruta today.
She won by a block going 7/8ths in the Raven Run @ Keenland last October.
That race certainly bodes well for this years BC Filly & Mare Sprint over the same oval.

Expecting a monster performance from Taris today. Would love to see every bit of that 12/1 ML. Have to imagine Judy the Beauty and Cavorting taking a lot of the action will help at least keep it relatively close to that number.

She was flat last time, even w the pace duel I think she should have had more run and more fight than she showed.

I think a lot of people will have an opinion similar to yours... Which is what I'm hoping for.

I'm with you 100% One of my better plays of the day Hoping for the ML price but G Stevens draws $ and the horse was given a big chance by the NBC guys in their HC show,so who knows

I like her also. I'm not sure how "flat" she was racing four wide around the track. Hoping for a better trip today and a solid price.
