What was its breeding? (I'm just curious whether the names of the sire, dam, or broodmare sire give a clue as to where the horse's name came from.)

Must be on account of the broodmare sire again (Mining). Kind of ghoulish, though. Should have run on Hallowe'en. Maybe the track was dark then (appropriately).
